Being in the beauty industry it’s kind of important to look your best when you’re heading out to meetings, events and product launches.
Wearing make-up 24/7 can take it’s toll on your skin, which is why I like to give my complexion a bit of a breather and go ‘au natural’ on the days I know I won’t be leaving the office.
So you can imagine my despair when I was told this morning that I had to have an impromptu photo shoot – right after rocking up to work sans a speck of make-up.
Now I’d like to think I’m not too vain, but come on, who wouldn’t want to put her best face forward when the cameras started flashing?
Lucky for me (and probably the photographer and subsequent viewers of my picture too), I had a bottle of Revlon PhotoReady (ironic isn’t it?) Makeup in my desk drawer and could set to work concealing, smoothing and brightening my otherwise pasty face. It worked a dream and within minutes I looked airbrushed to perfection.
Next up I curled my lashes with my M.A.C Full Lash Curler, and slicked on some Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara, before achieving makeshift colour with the multi-tasking Australis Cosmetics Perfection Brush On Lip and Cheek Tint.
Now lets just hope I didn’t blink in every shot…
Do you have the confidence to go ‘au natural’ or do you always sport a made-up face?
