Gemma Chan Has Found The Perfect Nude Lipstick

Gemma Chan has never had a bad glam day in her life. At least none that we’ve witnessed. In particular, none whatsoever at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival where she’s been serving killer look after look. In good news for us, Gemma’s affordable skin care routine wasn’t just a one off. In fact, the Crazy Rich Asians actress champions drugstore products in every part of her beauty routine, lipsticks included.

Gemma Chan wore this affordable lipstick to Cannes…

“For Cannes, I’ve been using the amazing Colour Riche Lipstick by L’Oréal in ‘Nude Independa’ ($25, currently $14.99 at Chemist Warehouse),” she told Marie Claire UK. This matte lippy has been on our wishlist ever since we saw Jessica Gomes wearing it at this year’s Fashion Week.

According to Gemma, “this is a really good nude shade that packs some warmth in it, as well. Some nude shades can wash you out, but this is a really good nude.” Um, score.

As an ambassador for the brand, we’re not overly shocked that Gemma’s go-to pick belonged to L’Oréal Paris. However, with access to everything within the range, we still love to know which products have caught her attention.

Alongside the lippy, Gemma also gave a shoutout to the Infallible Black Liner ($28, currently $16.80 at Big W). “[It’s my secret to a great winged eyeliner,” she said. “It’s 24 hours so it lasts really well.”

Do you have a favourite nude lipstick? If so, which is it?

  1. A beautiful extraordinarly long lasting nude I picked up recently that is a cheapie but something I have been loving wearing is a Coral Colours Long Lasting Lipstick Moisturising Formula in the colour Forever No. 452. It has been fantastic and looks so pretty. It was $9.95, has no scent and is the colour exactly of the container in comes in. It’s a slimline design which winds up and down.
