When it comes to discussing personal struggles with mental health, Selena Gomez has always been an open book.
You only have to do a quick search and you’ll find her discussion on bipolar disorder with Miley Cyrus, or a dissection of her lyrics about depression and anxiety.

So when we found out she was launching her own beauty line, Rare Beauty, it came as no surprise that she would be doing it a little differently.
While announcing the news to her followers, Selena said “its not just a brand. It’s going to be a lifestyle”. In a direct response to the unattainable standards of beauty most of us are now used to, Rare’s mission is to ‘enhance your individual beauty’.
As Selena puts it, “I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to others and start embracing our uniqueness”.
And with the foundation range offering 48 shades from the get-go, we have high hopes.
