It’s no secret that Keira Knightley is naturally thin. But her latest style statement has raised eyebrows for shrinking her waistline to unnatural-looking proportions.
The actress arrived at the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week wearing an optical illusion-style outfit designed to accentuate her slender frame. The loose-fitting midriff top and skirt combo, with a tight black material underneath, cinched in her waistline to an alarming extent..
Optical illusion or not, I for one hope this kind of fashion statement doesn’t become a regular thing. Women are already bombarded with so many images of super-slim celebrities and models, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s normal and healthy for most of us.
And while I love so many of Keira’s looks, I think this is one we won’t be aspiring to recreate ourselves.
