Party makeup for the holiday season should be two things: fun and festive. It’s the perfect opportunity to try on one of the 2017 makeup trends and feel a little bit more glamorous than you would on your average weekend. And just because they’re party makeup looks doesn’t mean they have to be complicated. Some of the biggest makeup trends of 2017 are so effortless that you’ll take even less time getting out the door.

From Chloe Moretz’s five second bold lip look to Kaia Gerber’s amazing arches, these makeup trends are super simple to pull off and look stunning on everyone. Besides, you might love them so much that you’ll want to wear them every weekend.
So whip out your favourite party dress and try out one of these easy party makeup looks for holiday season 2017.
Matte lips
A matte bold lip is the easiest way to look fancy in five seconds flat. You don’t need much else, just groomed brows and lashings of mascara to bring the look together. But if you’re wearing a lipstick with warm undertones, always use concealer or a lightweight foundation to even out your complexion, as the warmer undertones can bring out any redness.

Pretty in pink
You truly can’t go wrong with a rosy pink lip! Kylie’s pink lipstick looked stunning matched with a pink blush and matte skin. To ensure your lip colour lasts all evening, always fill in your lips with a lip liner first. This gives the lipstick something to grab onto and makes it more long-lasting.

Glitter lips
Is there anything more festive than glitter lips? To get the look, apply a lipstick in any colour – red is my favourite – and then press makeup-grade glitter onto your lips with a lip brush. For a glossy glitter look, apply a slick of clear lip gloss on top.

Brushed up
Brushed up brows are always trending. They’re super flattering, maximise volume and define your natural arch. To get the look, simply use a translucent or coloured brow gel to brush up your brows and set them in place.

Copper smokey eye
Copper tones always look great in party season. A copper smokey eye works well with any eye colour, but it really enhances blue and hazel eyes. Try lining your waterline with a eyeliner in a black or espresso colour for a smouldering stare.

Contouring
If you thought the contouring trend was coming to an end, you’d be dead wrong. Contouring is still going strong – and party season is the perfect time to try the trend on for yourself. If you’re new to the contour craze, start with a powder contour product – which is easier to use than a cream.

All nudes
There’s no need to get complicated with your party makeup look. Stick to all nude shades like Selena and you’ll still look fabulous! This look works best when worn with lashings of volumising mascara or false eyelashes.

So lit
Get lit like Hailey by making highlighting your priority. Use an illuminating primer and mix a few drops of a liquid highlighter with your foundation. For some extra sheen, use a foundation brush to place liquid highlighter on top of your cheekbones and down the centre of your face.
