Easy Bloody Halloween 2018 makeup look

Well folks, Halloween 2018 is right around the corner and if you’re like me with any seasonal event this year, you haven’t planned a damn thing. But there’s no need to stress, because we’ve just found the ultimate Halloween makeup look to both impress and terrify all of your friends. This gruesome SFX Halloween look is surprisingly easy to achieve at home, and can be applied to a variety of Halloween costumes: Zombie, werewolf victim, monster… the options are endless.

All you’ll need is the following:

  • Liquid latex
  • Tissues
  • A sponge
  • Foundation
  • Cotton wool
  • Cream pigment
  • Stage blood
  • Thick stage blood
  • Painting brushes
  • Sewing thread and needle (optional)

If you can’t watch the video, here are some steps to get your started…

For an arm wound:

  1. Outline wound
  2. Add liquid latex to wound with sponge
  3. Add tissues
  4. Layer!
  5. Cover with foundation, pressing on wound with sponge
  6. Gently open ‘wound’ with your fingers
  7. Add more liquid latex inside wound with sponge
  8. Add cotton wool inside wound
  9. Layer again!
  10. Brush on cream pigment, using green for bruising and add red for blood.
  11. Use thick stage blood to create ‘blood clots’
  12. Dab normal stage blood on top for a wet, bloody look
  13. Sew through the wound with a needle and thread – be careful!

For a neck wound:

  1. Outline wound on neck
  2. Dab on liquid latex with sponge
  3. Layer LOTS of tissues
  4. Cover with foundation using the sponge
  5. Brush on cream pigment
  6. PIerce the latex wound with tweezers, then gently open wound with fingers
  7. Add red and green colour pigment to neck and wound
  8. Add more liquid latex and cotton wool
  9. Brush on more colour
  10. Create blood clots with thick stage blood
  11. Then, dab on regular stage blood with sponge
