This Dior Lip Oil Dupe Is Under $20

TikTok has done it again. The beauty-loving Internet sleuths have dug up an affordable, like-for-like dupe for one of our expensive faves. After introducing us to a $10 dupe for Tarte’s Shape Tape, this time around we’re taking home a near-perfect imitation of Dior’s Lip Oil Glow for a third of the price.

And it’s all thanks to the newly launched NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip ($19.99, Priceline).

What do we need to know about this Dior lip oil dupe?

NYX’s Fat Oil Lip Drip offers 12 hours of hydration, available in eight high-shine shades. Plus, it has even been infused with squalene, cloudberry oil and raspberry oil to deliver intense nourishment to dry lips. Not bad for under $20, right? Right!

TikTok’s trusted beauty reviewers have long been calling Dior’s lip oil a ‘must-have’ in any beauty bag. And now? Well, after comparing the two side-by-side, some are claiming to prefer the affordable option.

Beauty TikTokker, @jasminebbeauty called NYX’s product the “perfect” dupe and revealed that the “shades were the closest dupe [she] had found”.

After applying Dior to her top lip and NYX on the bottom she said, “[it’s] literally the same colour, same shine, same formula. Like are you kidding me? It’s the same”.

No seriously, just watch the video.

One user commented, “if anything I would say NYX is better”. And another said, “I know Dior looks more glossy but the NYX looks more pink and cute”.

@jasminebbeauty i love both the @dior and @nyxcosmetics lip oils but for those who are looking for a more affordable alternative, the nyx one is sooo good!! #lipoildupe #lipoils #nyxfatoil #nyxfatoillipdrip #nyxlipoils #nyxlipoil #diorlipoil #diorlipglowoil #diorlipoildupes #makeupbattle #highendmakeupdupe #makeupdupes #makeupdupeforhighend #makeupdupe ♬ Monkeys Spinning Monkeys – Kevin MacLeod & Kevin The Monkey

And while NYX’s product is the flavour of the month, it’s not the first lip oil to be given the Dior dupe title.

With the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil ($45, Adore Beauty), MCoBeauty’s Lip Oil Hydrating Treatment ($14, Woolworths) and Designer Brands Glow Your Own Way Colour Burst Lip Oil ($14.99, Designer Brands) having all been compared to the luxe variation — knowledge which has become particularly handy if you’re looking to save some coin. Or you’re just sick of Dior being constantly sold out.

  1. Gosh the first two pictures are terrible (and that first applicator looks like it has never seen product!), the video makes it look a lot nicer however I can see my hair sticking to my lips on a windy day.

  2. I love mcobeauty ‘s products especially their liquid blush! Next time they’re on sale I’ll try to get my hands on the oil and see for myself. I’m also getting myself into Clarins products so if mcobeauty doesn’t work out I’ll try the Clarins one as I really need one as my lips get dry
