Here Are The Exact Lipsticks Celebrities Wore On Their Wedding Day

As if we needed an excuse to spend an afternoon sleuthing the internet for the lipsticks our favourite celebrities wore on their wedding day. But with today being National Lipstick Day, it turns out we got one anyway.

From the lipstick Kate Middleton was spotted purchasing days before her wedding to Amal Clooney’s unique nude-liner-meets-berry-lipstick combo, there are a few shade names we recommend jotting down.

Whether it’s to inspire your own impending wedding day or just to try something new, here are the exact lipsticks that our favourite A-listers reached for on what’s arguably the most important glam session of their lives.

Meghan Markle

Ok, it’s technically not a lipstick but it’s a lip product on her wedding day nonetheless. Besides, how could we leave out the most hyped wedding of the last decade? During Meghan Markle’s 2018 nuptials to Prince Harry, the Duchess surfaced on our TV screens with the most stunning no makeup-makeup we’ve seen, well, ever. Speaking to InStyle, a rep for Dior confirmed that her soft pink pout was all thanks to Dior’s Addict Lip Glow ($57, Myer), which offers a soft, balm-like finish that actually adapts according to the pH of your skin.

Amal Clooney

Not only did Amal Clooney’s wedding day makeup involve a face full of Charlotte Tilbury products; her makeup was actually done by the Charlotte Tilbury herself. The stunning Lake Como wedding called for an equally as gorgeous lip to match. And the chosen shade? Well, according to Charlotte Tilbury, they opted for a layered look using Lip Cheat Lip Liner in the shade Pillow Talk ($35, Charlotte Tilbury) with the M.I. KISS Lipstick ($49, Charlotte Tilbury) to finish. Stunning.

Kate Middleton

As the story goes, in the lead-up to her wedding day, Kate Middleton was spotted in London at the Bobbi Brown makeup counter. It’s alleged that this was the outing where she purchased the creamy lipstick that she wore on her big day. The lippy in question? Bobbi Brown’s Lip Colour in the shade ‘Sandwash Pink’ ($53, Adore Beauty). We hope this tale is true.

Sofia Vergara

Being a CoverGirl brand ambassador comes with its perks. One such perk is having a custom-made lipstick shade created just for your wedding day. Something Sofia Vergara was lucky enough to experience ahead of her 2015 wedding to Joe Manganiello. The actual lippy was an old favourite (CoverGirl’s Outlast Longwear Lipstick) but the shade ‘Sofia In Love’ was brand new.

Speaking specifically of her wedding day lip look, Sofia told Yahoo Beauty, “I know that I want to do something interesting with the mouth,” she said. “I want to use a bold lip to make it modern. I’m an older bride, I’m 43, so I don’t want to play the role of the virgin getting married all pale and all that.” Mission accomplished.

If your wedding was next week, which lipstick would you wear?

  1. If I were getting married, I probably would choose a nice pinky nude that suited my pale cool-toned skin, or maybe I’d do a Sofia & wear something bold, like a cool-toned red or a fuchsia.

  2. I would choose Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk plus the M.I. KISS Matte Revolution Lipstick as I love the beautiful Berry Red shade. I’ve found Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks give long-lasting colour and my lips always feel comfortable when wearing them.

  3. A mail in order bride is a woman from another country who is looking for a husband. This new age phenomenon is gaining popularity in today’s society and has made it easier than ever to find the right woman for marriage. This type of bride is usually more faithful and committed to her career than to her marital prospects. In addition, mail order brides do not sacrifice their marriage prospects because they are interested in establishing a career.
