Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

maybelline sky high

$26 at Woolworths

Best for: Length

“the mascara has a smooth consistency and does not clump on the eyelashes. it is mostly used for extending the lashes rather than creating volume though which may be off putting for some other people. the wand is thin and bendy which is very useful. i purchased the black version and i have no regrets at all i love it and use it on the daily.” – Zoee

Maybelline Falsies Lashlift Mascara

Maybelline Falsies Lashlift Mascara

$26 at Woolworths

Best for: Dramatic lashes

“After all the hype around Sky High, I totally slept on this gem of a mascara. It’s got great lift, separation and completely coats each lash in colour. But the best part is that it stays on without flaking and holds its curl all day. Obsessed.” – bh’s Sam.

Maybelline New York Colossal Volum’Express Mascara

Maybelline New York Colossal Volum’Express Mascara

$19.95 at Adore Beauty

Best for: Volume and separation

“I love trying out new mascaras, but always find myself coming back to this one. It volumises the lashes so well and multiple coats can be applied easily without getting too clumpy. I do find that the wand helps to separate too and doesn’t flake off as much as some other maybelline mascaras I’ve tried.” – Lianatriesmakeup

Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara

maybelline lash sensational

$25 at Woolworths

Best for: Short and straight lashes

“Favourite mascara hands down! No matter how many high end mascaras I try, i always come back to the Lash Sensational. Super lengthening and volumising without any clumps and lasts the whole day without smudging through the day. The wand separates and coats each individual lash really well and really does create the “full fan effect” Holds the curl really well, even with my short and straight lashes.” – Lily777

Maybelline New York Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara

maybelline great lash

$9.95 at Chemist Warehouse

Best for: Budget

“I’ve been using this mascara for as long as I can remember and I haven’t had any issues with it. I just wanted a simple affordable mascara, nothing fancy and still does the same job as any other mascara. Glides on nicely with no clumps. This product is regularly on sale for under $10. Considering it’s just a basic mascara which gives you a natural result, you get what you pay for but it’s worth it.” – Jas84

Maybelline Full ‘n Soft Mascara

maybelline full and soft mascara

$17 at Woolworths

Best for: Natural-looking (and feeling) lashes

“I have tried many mascaras that have left me totally disappointed. I have quite long and thick lashes so I really like mascaras that don’t make lashes super exaggerated thick or clumpy and hard. This one gave my lashes a very natural finish, leaving them very soft and without any clumps or looking extra fake.” – Spitfire

  1. Great Lash in the classic green & pink tube was my first mascara – I’ll forever miss the matching liquid eyeliner that got deleted. Full ‘n Soft was my favourite years ago. I wanted to read reviews for Falsies Lashlift, but it’s not listed – it sounds up my alley.

  2. I tend to use cheap mascara as I don’t often wear makeup, expensive ones are a waste of money because they dry out before I’ve had a chance to use them up and have to be thrown away.

  3. I recently picked up the Colossal mascara for $10 and so I probably can’t complain but I cannot keep this mascara on my lashes. It always ends up under my eyes. I haven’t had this issue with any others. Otherwise it looks great when it goes on and you can’t beat the price, but it ends up making me look like a panda every time.

  4. I’ve been using Sky High since it hit the shelves and it’s the only one I use. I also use the waterproof one due to if I watch a sad movie, tears will swarm. I have now found the best waterproof mascara also so win win. I do have a sample of colossal to try so will compare. Before Sky High I did use Sensational but for me it’s Sky High all the way. I also have short, light sparse lashes so they make mine look longer.
