While foundations might be an acquired taste, concealers are for everyone. Whether you’re using a pin-sized dose to brighten dark circles, dotting it over your face to even out pigmentation or you’re being heavy-handed thanks to the breakout on your chin, a concealer has got to be a desert island product for nearly every makeup wearer. At the very least it’s in the top four.
As we know, with high demand comes a great variety of products available. And while we love being spoilt for choice, it can make the decision process absolute chaos. That’s exactly why we’ve condensed your options down to eight high performing concealers, along with who they’re best suited for and what kind of finish you can expect.

Have you tried any of these concealers? If not, which is your favourite?
I'd have liked to have read a small review on each of these, not just the first few
Some lovely new options to look at here
Reviewing an old article. My favourite, the BareMinerals, has been discontinued, so I’m looking for a new one. I’ve used Touché Eclat and loved it, but it’s too expensive. I’m sure I’ll find something.
I need to purchase a new Concealer soon. Apart from the Maybelline these options are more expensive than my foundation.
Tarte and Nars are my favs. Used to use YSL but need something thicker now!
My fave also discontinued, so on a lookout for a similar product.
What was it
Becca brightener in a small pot, creamy, pinkish shade undertone, makes my eye area always look so refreshed, best…not drying, almost like an eye cream too

And yeah, I am not into concealing, but into making my skin look like skin but perfected. BEcca one is not concealer I do not think, as it is not looking as a makeup cover, but skin
Its a bit of a struggle at times to find the right shade. I like one of the revlon ones.
Thank you for the information. Most, other than Maybelline are expensive.
Everyone raves about the Nars but I just do not like it
That Tarte Shape Tape is so hyped up! I tried it ages ago and I really didn’t like it 🙁 But I have since found my favourite in the NARS Soft Matte concealer.
Some great Concealers at the moment I have Revlon and a Maybelline concealer. Still need to practice covering my dark circles.
I’m keen to try out the IT Cosmetics one
Finding a good concealer is hard
I don’t usually have a problem with sponge-tipped applicators, but since I only use concealer when I’ve got a zit, I think they’re unhygienic.
I’m using Nude by Nature’s concealer at the moment and loving it.
Good to know. Thanks.
How cool is that concealer with it’s own SPF!!! Now that’s excellent for the days when all I have time/need for is a little concealer.
I like the sound of the Nars concealer .
I have the Maybelline one.
The YSL one looks so nice.
It cosmetics Bye Bye undereye is very concentrated in my opinion, literally the size of a pinhead is enough for both of my eyes
I use concealer only now and then.
I’ve had the NARS one used on me before (had the shade Affogato used on my under-eye area due to darkness) & I quite liked it. It’s on my wishlist to buy next. (Might end up getting 2 since Vanilla would work better on the rest of my face.)
I’m currently using Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer which I really like. I’ve tried the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye which I thought was too thick for me.
So many on this list I haven’t tried!
I don’t use concealer.
I love my Tarte Shape Tape and occasionally use Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer too, wasn’t sure how the others perform but after looking at this list, I am keen to try a few others especially Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder as these are my two fav foundation brands
I really like the maybelline one, the tarts one is okay but it is a little thick
I still need to become more creative using concealers. All the above sound wonderful but I’ll need to have another thorough read-through to decide which one I will try.
Maybelline FitMe is a fave concealer of mine
I’ve tried the Nars concealer and to be honest I didn’t find it as wonderful as others have – doesn’t hydrate my undereye area.
I do like the sound of the M.A.C concealer if it banishes dark circles and have always wanted to try the Yves Saint Laurent one if it gives a natural finish, but it is quite expensive.
I’ve tried the YSL and it is really good!
Some great sounding concealers
Some oldies but goodies in this list!
Maybelline is my favorite so far
I would like to try the Clinique concealer.
I haven’t try any. Bobbie Brown is my favourite.
I really need to find a good concealer – my current one just doesn’t cut it.
Maybelline’s FitMe is affordable and easy to use and it fits in the handbag for touch-ups when needed
Touche Eclat is such as splurge but well worth it for under the eyes
Haven’t tried these concealers
Definitely a few classics in there but I’m really liking the Elf Camo Concealer at the moment
Good to read through. I’m currently looking for a concealer to help cover a couple of age spots and also dark rings under my eyes. This article is a couple of years old but will keep looking as I’m interested in current products. Some better concealers may have come out since this article was written.
I love the YSL Touche Eclat, it makes me look a bit more alive and awake lol 🙂
