Best burgundy nail polishes in Australia

OPI Nail Lacquer in ‘Lincoln Park After Dark’

We say: ‘Lincoln Park After Dark’ is a cult favourite for a reason. The deep, vampy burgundy-meets-black shade holds an iconic status due to its highly pigmented, non-streaky formula. Who says dark and mysterious can’t be fun?

You say: “On clients or myself, OPI is always my go-to nail polish. Not only are the [polishes] fabulous in colour, [but] they are long-lasting. I always apply a coat of base coat, two coats of the OPI shade I choose and a top coat. I love the brushes; you don’t need to use many strokes for a solid even professional paint.” – Saffy86

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in ‘Cinna Snap’

We say: Budget-friendly with no compromise on quality, Sally Hansen’s ‘Cinna Snap’ is a delicious warm tone – perfect for those cold weather vibes.

You say: “I bought a few of these shades from the Insta Dry [and] Color Therapy range on a whim through the seemingly never-ending lockdowns of ’20-’21 and from the first [use] I was hooked! Sally Hansen continues to impress and astound me with the quality of its products and the wearing and opacity of its colours. I LOVE InstaDri [polishes] because they truly live up to their claims and have a great colour range and a VERY affordable price.” – Iona718

  1. All look very nice although I don’t think Lincoln Park after Dark is really burgundy (OPI describe it as aubergine). I find dark colours really highlight my lack of skill at application!
