#1 Forever fresh
That barely there base, the one you worked so hard to perfect all Summer, is here to stay. Dark tones on eyes or lips, paired with a natural base is the look of the season. Keep it light and let your real skin show through. To nail the look, try applying your foundation or tinted moisturiser with a stippling brush. Dip the brush in your foundation and lightly sweep the product over your complexion for a smooth, radiant finish. Set the look with a finishing spray and you’ll be glowing for hours.

#2 Grey for days
If you wear just one colour this season, make it grey. One of the biggest trends on the Autumn/ Winter runways was a hint of grey. Get the look with a wash of grey eyeshadow on eyelids or try a grey nail polish. Dove or slate, whatever shade of grey takes your fancy. Turn it up for a party look by choosing a nail polish with a metallic finish.

#3 Darker eyeliner
If there’s one reason to celebrate the end of Summer, it’s that eyeliner is back. It’s the easiest way to add some attitude to your look, without a new piercing or tattoo. Eyeliner that looks slept-in is key. Use a kohl pencil in the blackest black and smudge it underneath your bottom lashes. Always line your waterline to define your eyes. Keep the rest of your makeup minimal with a dewy base and a touch of gloss on your lips.

#4 Lazy lips
This Autumn your lip colour should be one thing: uncomplicated. Forget about perfect lines and a flawless finish, stains and lip pencils are so right now. Who has time for a lip colour that demands constant attention? Apply your lip colour with your fingers and build it up until you’re happy with the depth. Remember, you’re not aiming for perfection. Go for a darker hue in berry or plum and let the colour fade as you wear it.

#5 Feathery brows
Forget heavy brows that are draw on with pencil or powder, the new season calls for a more natural approach. For years it’s been all about the bigger is better when it comes to your eyebrows. Finally, we’re seeing a rejection of the ‘Instagram brow’ and replacing it is a soft, feathery brow. Whatever natural form your brows take, now’s the time to embrace it. Brush your brows up with a tinted brow gel and call it a day. If your brows are particularly sparse try Hello Brows growth formula which promotes hair growth.

#6 Eyes that mesmerise
We get it, colour is intimidating. But when you wear it right, it has the power to completely bring your features to life. Try contrasting bright shades on your eyelids like Bella or keep it subtle by switching up your go-to black liner for a navy or aubergine shade. Another option is to wear a coloured mascara (blue or purple will really make your eyes stand out) on your top or bottom lashes. Use an eyelash curler before applying mascara to give your lashes some extra volume.

#7 Boyish texture
If you’re in the mood for a seriously cool hair refresh, you can’t go past this trend. Boyish, slept-in texture is the hair trend of the moment. It’s the ultimate transformation for high impact, while being low maintenance to maintain. Take inspiration from the Autumn/ Winter 2017 fashion shows and call your hairdresser before you change your mind. A short cut should be easier to style than longer strands. Simply use a texturising spray to perfect the off-duty finish.
