It’s rare to find a celebrity beauty routine that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, or include at least one brand you can’t pronounce. But Ashley Graham, queen of keeping it real (her fake tan hacks are life-changing), defied our expectations on the Oscars red carpet with a full-face of drugstore makeup.
Ashley’s makeup artist, Ivan Núñez, leant into the old Hollywood glamour aesthetic, adding his own spin. “I was heavily inspired by the sharp graphic lines of the gown! So I gave her a beautiful, sharp, smoked-out liner moment,” Ivan said in a press release. And how could a look like Ashley’s not make our best Oscars beauty list?!
Forget about that awkward interview with Hugh Grant. Because you can grab every product used to create Ashley Graham’s Oscars look for less than $20. Scroll down for the full product brakdown…
Ashley Graham Oscars makeup breakdown
Being a Revlon ambassador, it’s no surprise the brand’s hero products were the key to creating Ashley’s entire look. Ivan started with the Illuminance Skin-Caring Foundation (currently not available in Australia) and used the ColorStay Skin Awaken Concealer ($13.47 at Chemist Warehouse) to touch-up and brighten Ashley’s complexion. To ensure a failproof base, Ivan then set the look with the Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder Translucent ($18.47 at Chemist Warehouse).
The soft bronze that made Ashley’s cheeks pop is all thanks to the Skin Lights Prismatic Bronzer ($11.95 at Cosmetic Capital), layered with the Revlon Powder Blush in ‘Oh Baby Pink’ ($13.97 at Chemist Warehouse) for a subtle flush.
The main event? A sultry smokey eye worthy of an award of its own. Ivan used the Revlon ColorStay Day To Night Eyeshadow in ‘Moonlit’ ($12.95 at Catch) for an ultra smoked-out finish.
As for that perfectly sharpened winged liner (Taylor Swift, eat your heart out), look to the ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner in ‘Blackest Black’ ($16.95 at On Trend Beauty) and So Fierce! Big Bad Lash Mascara ($11.97 at Chemist Warehouse).
We already know that Ashley Graham can’t live without a good lip combo. And her duo of choice at the Oscars was the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Brazilian Tan ($9.99 at Catch) topped with the Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Snow Pink ($12.97 at Chemist Warehouse).
A moodboard-worthy red carpet look if we’ve ever seen one.
