Have you ever left ALDI with nothing but the items on your shopping list? No, us either. The overflowing aisles are a treasure trove for hidden gems and products we don’t know how we once survived without (particularly when you’re walking down the beauty and toiletries aisle). We’re all familiar with ALDI’s skin care range LACURA Beauty which has earned global cult-status for its $690 La Prairie Caviar dupe.
But to our surprise, after tens of thousands of ALDI shoppers submitted their vote in the 2022 People’s Picks awards, it wasn’t the Caviar Illuminating Day Cream that took home the top beauty prize. In fact, the ALDI beauty crown actually went to a very familiar red tube you’ve likely seen sitting at the checkout: the Essential Health Paw Paw Ointment.
There’s a chance you’ve already got one of these $2.69 tubes sitting in your handbag, car or desk drawer. But if you haven’t, we think it’s about time you consider testing one out. Why? Because the popularity of this beauty all-rounder seems to be sticking around. Taking home the very same prize in 2020, ALDI’s paw paw ointment has officially earned itself a permanent spot in the fan favourite hall of fame. Hoorah!
What other beauty products are worth shopping at ALDI?
If you’re planning on a trip down to your local ALDI in the next few days, may we recommend making it worth your while? Another exciting release to keep your eyes out for is the LACURA Beauty Light Therapy Mask ($249 at ALDI). Available from October 5th, this LED mask is a dupe for several high-end alternatives.
ALDI’s version works out to be at least $200 cheaper than most of its competitors, offering similar anti-ageing and skin-rejuvenating benefits. Please, tell us more. In fact, the LACURA Beauty mask even boasts eight different light settings, each targeting a different skin condition from acne to fine lines.
As with anything in ALDI, from coffee pods to organic coconut oil, don’t expect to see this beauty tool sitting on the shelves for long. If your mind is already heading into the Christmas shopping zone, this might be one to consider nabbing early.
For those who miss out on this particular at-home LED mask, we suggest checking out the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask ($515 at CurrentBody) or Omnilux Contour Face ($590 at Beauty Science) instead.

Aldi used to stock a fantastic heel balm, it’s was so cheap, I think around $3 a tube. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to buy it for a while.
The LED mask sounds interesting.
No, do not use mineral oil. Ooooh, LED a la Aldi =D, now this is interesting
Wow intrigued about the LED mask from ALDI. Will have to research the specs to find out if it is worth the competition. I have been using the Omnilux LED mask and so in love with how my skin looks so healthy and plump.
I think I have a few tubes of these paw paw ointments lying around.
Oh that’s interesting, I’ll look out for the pawpaw ointment next time
I’ll definitely buy the Aldi Paw Paw ointment as soon as I’ve finished my Lucas tube.
I like a lot of the Aldi skincare products and the paw paw ointment is an essential.
I loved the Lacura Enchant hand cream that was sold at Aldi. It smelt devine.
They always have the latest trend in their own branding very soon after it becomes popular
What are the ingredients? A lot of paw paw creams have petroleum in them. Lucas used to be the best but they changed their formula and is not natural anymore.
I have tried the skincare, it is good value
Aldi always has some great products have always bought Kitchen Ware and some of there beauty products from time to time they are such great value for money. They also will refund you if the product doesn’t perform the way you liked, just remember to keep receipts.

Haven’t used any Aldi skincare products before.
Happy using my current Sukin paw paw ointment.

I really need to try this Paw Paw cream, everyone uses it and have really good things to say about it.
I looked at the ingredients of the caviar cream and there’s a lot in there. I don’t think it’s for me. The paw paw has paraffin, so not for me. Think I’ll pass on Aldi skincare
I’ve used their eye cream. It was okay.
I’ve never used Aldi skin care, but only because there isn’t one conveniently located for me.
same here. Wish I had one closer!
It’s very cheap!
since when does Aldi sock these
my skin hates the paw paw so that sucks
I haven’t tried this. Aldi used to make fantastic hairspray, a fraction of the price of the others. But they changed it and the new formulation was so overpowering with the chemical smell, we had to stop using it.
I honestly prefer the lucas brand. It is safe for me to use on my dog who gets red rashy paws.
oh I didn’t know you could use that on animals!
I’ve never tried any skincare from ALDI. Heard only good things though!
Wow that is cheap.
I am so curious about the LED mask! It sounds exxy for an Aldi product, I would love to hear if anyone is planning to purchase and how it compares to other ones on the market.
Although I have heard mainly good reviews about beauty products from Aldi, I’m yet to try any myself.
Prefer to pay more for something without petroleum-derived ingredients
Same. Though have seen in coles a lip balm, all naturally derived ing, it was 3 bucks! In squeezy tube, some new brand (was 50%off hehe). Didn’t buy as have couple of in my stash using
I agree, @MerryGoRound.
I’ve tried a few skincare products from Aldi but surprisingly not this, might have to add this to the next Aldi shopping list!
Their pawpaw cream is so good!
I haven’t try it yet.
Aldi is my least favourite place so I’m not likely to look, however good it may sound.
