Celebs are seriously diversifying their portfolios as of late and we love to see it.

Especially when it’s for a cause as important as women’s reproductive health, which is where Perelel enters the chat. This startup company creates supplements to support women during conception, pregnancy and the early years of motherhood.

Proudly claiming to be the first and only OBG/YN-founded prenatal supplement brand, Perelel raised an impressive $4.7 million in seed funding, with the help of investors, some of which include author and blogger, Aimee Song, chief marketing officer of Glossier, Ali Weiss and fashion designer, Whitney Port.

Why did Whitney Port choose to invest in Perelel?

Forget making a pretty penny when it’s all said and done. For Whitney Port, above all else, her motivation to invest was entirely personal. “After multiple miscarriages, I learned there isn’t just one answer or one solution to fertility problems. Each miscarriage I’ve had occurred for a different reason,” she told Fortune.

“So, as someone who can intimately relate to these multileveled issues that Perelel is tackling head on in women’s healthcare, I was immediately drawn to the brand’s innovation.” And in speaking of her own experience so publicly, Whitney has since come across many other women who she knows would benefit from Perelel’s offering.

How did Whitney first come to hear about Perelel?

The vitamins and supplements are all formulated by a team of top women’s health doctors, one of those being Whitney’s endocrinologist, Dr Andy Huang. It was Dr Huang who helped formulate Perelel’s Conception Support vitamin.

Where can we purchase Perelel?

Unfortunately Aussie’s can’t purchase Perelel supplements, yet. However, the brand has said they hope to start shipping internationally soon. We’ll be waiting!
