Ah, liposomal technology. Somewhat tricky to say, somewhat tricky to spell, and somewhat tricky to understand. Until now, that is.
Slight spoiler alert: it’s designed to help your body absorb ingestible vitamins more effectively by keeping them protected as they travel through the body. But how does it work? Let’s get into it…
What are liposomes?
Okay, we’re switching to scientific speak, bear with us. We’re determined to break this down for you! In a nutshell, liposomes are tiny spherical carriers that resemble cells in the human body, making them biocompatible with our bodies.
These little carriers allow for efficient transport of active substances, like the vitamins our bodies crave, into the body’s cells. High quality liposomes actually act as stable carriers, which means they protect the active ingredient from degradation by substances in the body’s digestive system.
How does liposomal technology work?
Liposomal technology works to wrap vitamins in tiny fat bubbles, working like little ‘shells’ that protect them as they travel through the digestive system. The goal is for the formula to remain protected until it reaches the right spot in your body, allowing for enhanced absorption. There are certain ingestible options that feature this technology – for example, the Lipo-Sachets range utilises something called ‘Liposhell liposomal technology’, which works to get the vitamin support where it needs to be.
You can also take solace in the fact that Lipo-Sachets leaves out the artificial ingredients. They contain no artificial colours or flavours, and are also alcohol, gluten and GMO-free, plus suitable for vegetarians. After all, if you’re committing to an ingestible wellness routine, you want to ensure you’re getting what you signed up for in the purest form, not diluted with an array of artificials.
The Lipo-Sachets range offers you options, so you can choose depending on what your body requires a boost in. Of course, we advise consulting your doctor around what will work best for you. Ferro Lipo-Sachets Strawberry flavour ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) deliver superior iron absorption with reduced risk of gastric upsets1 and are designed for enhancing energy levels and addressing fatigue. Vitamin D Lipo-Sachets Melon flavour ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) provide four times higher absorption than standard vitamin D3 capsules2, to promote calcium absorption and healthy bone development, and Vitamin C Lipo-Sachets Original ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) are made to boost Vitamin C levels (and thus the immune system). By providing 80 per cent higher absorption than standard vit C tablets.3 As for how to take, you can either mix into water, or into juice or a smoothie bowl. Completely up to you!
Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

Sounds really interesting
I wonder what’s the process to isolate and pack them, must be fascinating.
Most intriguing
Obviously an advertising feature article.
I’m good without thank you.
So far have not been in need of these. I dont think??
I wouldn’t want to be on any of those products long term. Pricey
Yes the cost would put me off
sounds like a marketing ploy to me
I’m also not convinced either. Sitting on the wall
I’m afraid I’m yet to be convinced that this sort of product works.
I’m a little skeptical on this one.
It does sound interesting, I might have a closer look at these.
Looks interesting product.
A lot of my colleagues recommend this product so much. I haven’t tried it yet, i want to hopefully soon.
Never heard of this before, it’s interesting
No a new one to me too
The strawberry flavour looks appealing! yum
So many supplements now, and none are ever combined together, could cost an absolute fortune
One just never knows, do they work or dont they work.
That is a burning question -I agree
This does sound interesting .
