Jennifer Aniston isn’t the most active celeb on Instagram, so when she does decide to post it’s usually for good reason. And the latest video detailing the recipe for her “favourite” smoothie did not disappoint.
The 52-year-old actress, who hasn’t aged a day since first hitting our TV screens back in 1994, has previously credited happiness and hydration as the two driving forces behind her skin’s youthful glow. But it looks like the anti-ageing heavy-hitter, collagen (specifically the Vital Proteins Chocolate Collagen Peptides, $86.97 at iHerb) might be the third factor at play.
After announcing her new role in 2020 as the Chief Creative Officer of wellness brand Vital Proteins, Jen revealed that she’s been a long-time advocate for “nourishing your wellness from within”, and as a result had begun incorporating collagen into her diet “so many years ago.”
Accompanying the chocolate-flavoured collagen (which is praised for its benefits in skin, nail, bone and gut health), Jen also throws in other superfoods and antioxidants like matcha powder, cinnamon, cherries and spinach to her nutrient-dense smoothie.
Check out the full recipe as detailed in her Instagram caption below.

Do you drink smoothies? Does Jen’s recipe sound like something you’d like to try?
I got the Dose and Co Collagen Creamer in Vanilla half price at Coles. A little goes into my morning coffee. Must say I love the sound of the strawberry/watermelon one mentioned and will probably try it.
Sounds delicious.
Yum! Love adding collagen powder to my tea ! But chocolate flavoured collagen sounds tasty!
She isn’t the most active celeb on Instagram until she has something to promote – ie be paid for.
Sounds yummy
Sounds great! But minus the banana please. They don’t agree with me.
Oh great!!! I love any good new smoothie ideas!!
I want to make myself a smoothie now!
The shake sounds pretty healthy and good, except for the stevia. She looks stunning but I think the part about where she hasn’t aged since 1994 is a bit of a stretch. She looks a lot different than she did back then, but not old and could definitely pass for her early 40’s.
That smoothie does sound tasty.
I use collagen powder in my smoothies and cold drinks every day.
I am surprised that the Dose & co collagen creamer is 20% saturated fat!
Jennifer is stunning but I am not into smoothies – I would rather eat a proper diet and the jury is still out on adding collagen .
I take collagen supplements sometimes.
Yes, cityglenda – I’m always sceptical when a promotion is by a paid brand ambassador, too.
Yeah I think snorted at that too! she doesn’t look 50 but she doesn’t look like she just walked onto the set of Friends either.
Those powders? No. Zero need for it. Just made a choko smoothie though (chia, walnut, cacao, dates, vanilla, elderberry, pumpkin seed).
She does look fantastic
I dont drink smoothies. Im more a cereal girl in the mornings or bacon and eggs 😀
She sure does. I had no idea she was over 50!!
She looks amazing!
She always looks amazing, her skin glows
Oh she ages so well! I do use collagen I’ve been trying out different local Collagen powders. At the moment I’m really liking Milla Collagen.
I’m trying the Dose & Co Collagen supplement more for my nails more than my skin though. Not sure if it will work for either but I’m willing to give it a try.
Can’t say I add collagen to my smoothies when I have them. Have tried several collagen & “glow”-type supplements in the past & none of them have got on well with my gut, so I avoid them. Don’t really know if any of them make that much of a difference anyway.
Her skin is very nice.
Never tried that.
I am trialing a collagen supplement and can’t say I’m seeing any results yet.
Agreed misfortune8 It’s part of their contract.
Yum! I’ve been enjoying a blueberry protein smoothie lately. Maybe I should add some more ingredients to give it a boost 🙂
it’s delicious wordle online
She had me at ‘chocolate’ 😀
Smoothie ingredients can’t stop you ageing. I would assume it’s 99% her genetics. Nothing wrong with ageing normally!
Agree age has been kind to her
Sounds so yum!!!
I don’t do smoothies; but I do do collagen. I take a Natures Way Beauty Collagen supplements everyday. Collagen doesn’t just help my 57 year old skin look a lot younger it also helps my bones and joints.
She looks great, but that smoothie recipe sounds horrible to me.
I am using a collagen powder at the moment and loving it.
I don’t use collagen powder or supplements however I do like the sound of that smoothie and would like to try it someday.
too much in a smoothie sometines results in one that doesn’t taste all that good lol, i use to my banana smoothies
heard collagen is good but haven’t tried it
She looks fantastic, might look into trying collagen in my breakfast shake.
She is beautiful and hard to say her age.
I’m not a fan of chocolate, but I stir unflavoured collagen powder into my coffee every morning.
Sounds delicious
Unfortunately! Thank you for inventing a new look. quordle I really appreciate this girl’s style, but I’m afraid there’s no longer a chance.
