The world of ingestibles can seem overwhelming – there are so many on the market, all shouting about the different ways they can help you achieve your wellness goals. But because no two bodies function the same way, it’s vital to remain responsible in the way you build out your ingestible beauty routine, making sure it’s tailored specifically to you.
The key? Knowing the benefits you’re looking for and the ingredients you’re looking to avoid. To set you up for success, we’ve rounded up our top tips for building out an ingestible beauty routine that works for you…
Step 1: Figure out what you need
While we have no doubt you know your own body (and can generally tell if you’re feeling more sluggish or run down than usual), it’s always a good idea to check in with a healthcare professional to make sure you’re correctly identifying deficiencies in the body. A doctor will be able to help you figure out exactly what your body needs more of, so that you can build up whatever it is you’re missing. Which brings us to…
Step 2: Find products that can address your concerns
Once you know what you’re lacking, you can focus on figuring out which vitamins can help. Generally, iron will promote energy levels and relieve fatigue, vitamin D will support calcium absorption and healthy bone development/muscle function, and vitamin C can aid in supporting immune system health and collagen formation1.
Once you know what your body requires to function at its best, you might want to look for ingestibles that offer these vitamins. For example, Ferro Lipo-Sachets ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) are designed to help women maintain healthy iron levels during pregnancy, support people that are feeling tired or lacking energy, and reduce the likelihood of having gastrointestinal upsets such as constipation. Vitamin D Lipo-Sachets ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) may be suited for people with low exposure to sunlight due to lifestyle, as well as people looking to support their bone health and immune system function. And Vitamin C Lipo-Sachets ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) are formulated to help relieve symptoms of cold and flu (or those who may benefit from supporting their immune health), as well as those looking to support their skin health.
Step 3: Do your research on the ingestible’s ingredients
Here’s the thing: ingestibles all have different ingredients. And a lot of the market’s offering happens to include artificial ones, which are generally used for preserving, stabilising, or sweetening the product, and these artificial ingredients can have potential effects ranging from headaches to gastrointestinal issues.
Luckily, if you want to steer clear of these types of ingredients, there are options. As an example, Lipo-Sachets offer ingestibles free of artificial ingredients. On top of the fact that they contain no artificial colours or flavours, Lipo-Sachets are also alcohol-free, gluten-free, GMO-free, and suitable for vegetarians. Quite the list of free-froms!
Step 4: Tailor your consumption strategy to your personal preference
When it comes to how to consume your ingestibles, simply select your preferred strategy from the options offered in the instructions. For example, Lipo-Sachets can be taken simply dispersed into a small amount of water. Alternatively, if you’re looking to disguise the flavour artificial ingredient-free ingestibles often have (due to the lack of sweetener), they can also be mixed into juice or smoothie bowls for a tasty ritual you’ll look forward to.
Of course, it’s important to figure out what works for you and your preferences, making sure it’s in line with what your medical professional recommends.
Step 5: Keep consistent with your routine
As with anything you’re looking to see results from, consistency is key. All the more reason to find the right ingestible fit for your wellness needs – you’re far more likely to keep up with something that suits you, that you feel like your body can benefit from. Just make sure you’re frequently communicating with your health professionals around what your body needs – you want to ensure your ingestible routine evolves as you do.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

Good tips there.
I only take supplements that have been recommended by my doctor.
So many brands and supplements now, i dont actually know where to start
My GP recommended Vitamin D tablets and I developed a lot of calcium kidney stones (3 operations in the one year). My kidney specialist has advised that I never take Vitamin D tablets again and that 15 mins outside each day should be enough for me. Last Vitamin D test showed a very high number. Now I don’t take any supplements.
It may have been the type of supplement, many can be harmful because of the fillers and cheap ingredients. I highly recommend the Medical Medium podcast/vids about supplements.
I’d rather real food
100% much better.
I’m not convinced about the effectiveness of ingestibles. I don’t take anything not prescribed by a GP.

Please be careful with supplements, many are filled with filler useless and some harmful ingredients.Eating fresh wholefoods and fruit and some raw veggies daily with help the most with your immune system. Check out the medical medium podcast/vid about supplements.
