Traditionally, seeing a doctor often meant waiting days, sometimes weeks, for an appointment, not to mention the hassle of having to take time out of your day to do so. But with virtual medical consultations, suddenly it’s a whole lot easier. Seeing a doctor via an online consultation gives you the same quality of care as in-person visits, no matter where – or how busy – you are.
Online healthcare apps like Instant Consult have changed the way we access healthcare. Here are some of the reasons why you should jump onboard with this new way of seeking health advice easier, regardless of your location or situation.
No more waiting
With Instant Consult, booking a medical consultation is as simple as a few taps on your phone. After downloading the Instant Consult app and creating an account, you can request a consultation and connect with a qualified and accredited doctor within 15 minutes. So easy! No inconvenient waits for appointments, no crowded waiting rooms.
Experienced, personalised care
Despite being an online service, virtual medical consultations don’t compromise on the quality of care. During your video consultation at Instant Consult, fully qualified online doctors will take the time to understand your medical condition and history. This personalised approach provides a professional patient journey and ensures you receive the best care and advice.
Continuity of care
With Instant Consult, the care doesn’t end when the call does. After your consultation, any online prescriptions or medical requests, such as pathology requests and radiology requests, will be securely delivered straight to your Instant Consult app inbox.
You can also get an online medical certificate or receive specialist referrals through this platform. This efficient process makes sure you have everything you need at your fingertips, ready for use at your local pharmacy or just for your personal records.
It’s super convenient
You will no longer be at the mercy of your 9-5, thanks to Instant Consult’s flexible hours. Online doctors are available for virtual consultations from 6am to midnight AEST every day, even on public holidays. This means no more taking time off work, no more long commutes to the doctor’s office and no more waiting in crowded clinics. You can access healthcare at a time that suits your schedule best.
You can access online care from your home, office or even while travelling, and it’s an especially valuable option for for those in regional, rural, and remote areas, where healthcare facilities can often be limited.
It’s safe and secure
Confidentiality is crucial when it comes to personal and medical information, and Instant Consult has measures in place to give you full security.
Each online medical consultation happens one-on-one. This makes sure that your chats stay private. All communications are also conducted on a fully encrypted server to keep your information safe from unauthorised access.
Instant Consult makes it easier than ever to access quality healthcare whenever and wherever you need it, across Australia. Download the app to experience the convenience of instant access to healthcare.
It is a convenient option
That’s convenient – I’m wondering how much it costs?
I think it is like the doctors, some are bulk billed some are not?
We have then in NZ and they are dearer but our own GP refunds the difference as they are linked so we end up paying the same
Convenience is great as long as it is bulk billed and the doctors are good quality!
interesting new ways
I guess that if you are not able to get to the doctors rooms this is a great idea. Still prefer to see and talk directly. ??
Yes there are times the DR needs to really see the problem
I must admit it is a good idea for a lot of reasons
Convenient as long as you don’t need a physical examination.
Yes and sometimes a Dr can pick up a problem better by a physical exam.
I haven’t tried this but it would save time
Great to have the option.
I suppose it could be an option if I needed to consult a doctor after hours, but I much prefer to have a face to face with my own doctor.
Yes face to face is better for me but one never knows and maybe an after hours would be good
This is great, especially for people who find it hard to attend in person appointments.
A time saver for most medical events
A good service for some treatments. All my doctor’s visits usually require physical examinations.
It’s hard to replace a GP who’s known you for years, though.
I prefer to see my doctor face to face but there would be times when over the internet would be a good option such when I had covid for example.
This would be great for those in remote areas with poor access to healthcare. I’m in inner Sydney & my GP is only a short walk away.
Its a really good concept
This is really good option.
I would prefer to have a virtual consult with my regular GP who knows/has access to my medical history.
I must say that I am all for going to see the doctor, but must tell you that on sunday night I needed some advise and managed to get hold of a help line and it was so helpful and convenient and also meant that I did not have to wait until the next morning and most likely not have much sleep.
Nice advice
