Dove’s already shown us the complexity of our love-hate relationship with mirrors, but now the beauty brand has given girls an insight into the way our body image affects how the next generation views their own beauty.

The touching short film hones in on female role models playing a huge part in how girls perceive their looks. It involves a group of mothers and their daughters writing down what they do and don’t like about their appearance. The similarities between the grievances are quite remarkable, illustrating the strong impact we have on the younger women in our lives.
