Look, if you can believe it, Courteney Cox just turned 60.
Yep, we’re having a hard time adjusting to that information too. Mainly because the stunning star looks as fresh and gorgeous as ever. But thankfully, she’s more than happy to share just how she does it.
We might’ve gotten used to her straight-laced ‘Monica’ approach to life as we binge-watched Friends. But when it comes to the actual Courteney, she couldn’t be more different — aside from the humidity hair of course.
These are just some of the ways she stays in shape…
She’s learned a thing or two from Jennifer Aniston
Courteney’s Friends castmate and BFF Jennifer Aniston has built a comprehensive exercise routine over the years, and she’s not afraid to share a few tips with her nearest and dearest.
When Courteney injured her wrist and was no longer able to attend Pilates classes, Jennifer told her to switch up her approach to let her body heal.
“It meant I needed two operations and couldn’t exercise for about three months,” she told HELLO. “Jen turned me on to use an elliptical trainer to work out with, so I now use that too.”
She loves a Pilates class
When she’s not dealing with a wrist injury Courteney tries to attend three Pilates classes a week with celebrity Pilates, yoga and dance instructor Jessica McTighe. And on the days she’s not in the Pilates studio she’ll run or walk at alternating speeds for 30 minutes to keep her body toned.
“For toning, I like to use those bands and walk across the floor sideways and then front,” she shared with the publication.
She’s an avid tennis player
Courteney plays tennis regularly for fun, not just as a way to stay fit, from the comfort of her own court.
When she’s not playing a match against her trainer, she likes to challenge her A-list friends, including the world’s number tennis player Iga Swiatek.
She loves to ‘cool down’ after a sweat sesh
While she might admit she doesn’t ‘love the number’ she’s just turned, she doesn’t let age get in the way of getting on with a killer workout (have you seen that body?).
Everything Courteney does ends up in a totally unserious laugh. Like the workout video she shared with her Instagram followers in July.
Of course, the video comes with a totally hilarious twist: Imagine a Rocky-inspired workout montage, which cuts to Courteney crawling out of her freezer wearing a haphazardly-applied sheet face mask. “What? It’s cryotherapy,” she delivers to the camera.
Iconic, really. And while we definitely don’t suggest moving the peas over and hopping on into your own freezer, we can totally get behind a bit of cryotherapy. Although, we prefer to stick to ‘ice rolling‘ and a sheet like the Essano Hydration+ Moisture Sheet Mask ($8.99 at Priceline).

Do you workout like a celebrity? What’s the craziest workout you’ve tried?

Workouts aren’t for me. Walking is more my style.
