A little break from beauty

There are two non-beauty things I can’t live without – tissues and salt (random, I know).

Salt because, well, I’m addicted to the stuff, and tissues because a.) I’m a chronic sufferer of morning hay fever, and b.) because my mum taught me never to eat without a napkin, and since I spend a good part of my day eating, I need something on hand to put on my lap. (Yes, even if I’m just having a cup of tea and a biscuit. Thanks mum for that little touch of OCD.)

Now, although there’s not much to say about tissues – they’re kinda just there to serve a purpose – the other day a new batch of Kleenex® crossed my desk and they really caught my eye. Firstly, the box is cylindrical (hmmm…I guess that means it’s not actually a box after all), and secondly, it’s decorated in really funky, bright designs – a welcome change from the stock-standard seashells and petals if you ask me.

They’re a fun, vibrant addition to my desk, also happily fit in to the cup holder in my car (can’t stand being stuck without tissues on the road!), and almost, just almost make my morning sneezing attacks slightly more bearable.
