Beyoncé recently gave birth to her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter. Congratulations, Queen Bey (and hooray for big sister, Blue Ivy!).
But the extra baby on the hip isn’t the only thing Beyoncé will be doing differently this time around – she also plans on taking it a little easier post-birth.

The singer reportedly lost a huge 30kg after giving birth to Blue in 2012, blaming pressure to perform on the hurried weight loss mission. The question on everyone’s lips at the time? How on earth did she lose so much weight?
“I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, and replaced pasta and rice with quinoa,” Beyoncé said.
“I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk. For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated.”
The singer also mentioned that she combined this diet with lots of sweaty cardio dance workouts to get her body moving.

“I always treated myself to one meal on Sundays when I can have whatever I want. Usually it’s pizza, which is my favourite indulgence,” she added.

The good news is, the singer won’t be going back to the same intense post-baby weight loss regimen after the birth of her twins.
All things going to plan, her day job will take a back seat: “I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!” Jay-Z’s other half told America’s Shape magazine.
Good on you for putting your health and wellbeing first, Bey!
