The braid is making a comeback

Not seen on the scene much since Sienna rocked the red carpet with her infamous milkmaid braids, these quick hair pick-me-ups are back and gracing the heads of many a starlet – Lauren Conrad and Ashley Olsen to name just two. This chilly season, inject some excitement into your look by sporting a simple low ponytail or messy bun, and teaming it with a thick braid across the top of your head – a la milkmaid.

A simple plait across your head is sure to add a focal point to your look, and is a definite change from the usual sleek and straight or wavy out-do (of which I am a repeat offender).
