Q) “Which type of hair extension is better for your hair, the ones that are clipped onto the hair or the ones that are bonded using glue?” – Helen, QLD

A) “Clip-in hair extensions are a temporary solution, best used for an occasion or night out and they cause no damage to the hair. The ‘glue-in’ method is one type of permanent solution, however, they can be very messy and clump when being removed, taking with them a significant amount of hair.

The most recent advancement in extensions, and what we use at the salon, is Great Lengths Hair Extensions. These use a keratin bond to attach the extension. Made of the same protein as your hair or fingernails, they allow the hair to be snag-free and cause no damage when removed.”
