If you’re ever after a hair how-to or makeup tutorial, you’re in safe hands when scrolling the Instagram of radio host, activewear designer and Spray Aus founder, Rebecca Judd. Her latest lesson comes in the form of her signature tousled, beach wave, live from her bathroom in locked-down Melbourne.

Going a few days without a wash, Bec begins her styling session with a good spray of Klorane’s latest dry shampoo, the Detox Dry Shampoo with Aquatic Mint. She not only applies it at her roots, but down the ends of her hair too, for extra texture and hold.
After clipping the top of her hair back, Bec takes her first hair section, or as she calls it, a “chunk”, and wraps it around the tong “away from the face”. She notes the importance of leaving the end piece of the hair section out of the tong, explaining that this is how to give curls “a more beachy and relaxed look”.
While she doesn’t name the exact tong she’s using, she does recommend using a bigger barrell if you have longer hair, and to stick to a narrower one if you’ve got a bob or shorter hair.
bh recommends: ghd curve® soft curl tong
The best tip of all, however, is the specific place that Bec starts her curl. The mum-of-four explains that by starting the first bend at the top of your cheekbone and not too close to the roots, it will create a flattering angle that both frames the cheekbone and also extends them outward – clever!
Repeating until each section is curled, Bec finishes by working the dry shampoo through her hair to add volume and texture. A good hair shake later and, voila –the ultimate beachy bounce.
Rebecca Judd always looks beautiful she has lovely long hair and the large curling tongs certainly does the trick. Personally I use the smaller curling iron because of having a short bob.
Great hair. I have just got a bottle of Klorane’s Detox Shampoo didn’t know they had a dry shampoo option. Must try.
I love to create beachy waves with my straightener and it’s really easy to do
She makes it look so effortless. Love the look.
I don’t know who she is but she has lovely hair
Love it. Yes have tried now having new gadget to platy with that is gentle to hair and easy to use. If not that, braids overnight. =)
I should try something like this with my Muk stick. I like wavy hair. It looks pretty. I’m stuck in locked down Miserable Melbourne too. Might give me something to do for half an hour! (Can you tell I’m frustrated!)
I like to wear my long hair in beachy waves – it’s always flattering. I’m unco with hair tools, so I’ll try angling the tong downwards. Great tip!
So cute
Love Klorane dry shampoo.
i always had short hair, now that its long i look for new ways to style it, this will be very handy
My youngest daughter is always using my Klorane Dry Shampoo when she comes to stay. Its the only brand she will use.
Looks great, but I’m not one to fuss with my hair much
Not a fan of hers but she always takes pride in her appearance and looks good. I don’t think beachy waves would stay in my hair unfortunately.
Ah, beachy waves, they just happen, when I try to accentuate them, they decide to drop into straight hair…
Love it! My waves don’t quite look as good as Becs
I clicked on the vid but I got taken to a games website? Anyhow, I love this kind of tutorial on video – bring them on! I need all the teaching I can get when it comes to styling my hair!
Loved the video – she had some really good tips that I’ll be using when I next curl my hair 🙂
Also love her hair colour!
Good tips but they didn’t show the finished look.
Good tips in the video, I have tried the beachy hair and they look really good but I struggle using the curling rod. Need some tricks to use it
The video was too short would of loved to see the finished look. I’ve got to get a curling rod I’m sick of straight hair all the time. I’ll have to try Klorane’s products.

Bec Judd is so gorgeous. This video has made me regret cutting my hair short.
