We’ve long been lusting after Meghan Markle’s look. Whether it’s sleuthing the internet to find out her skin care routine, obsessing over the contents of her makeup bag, or trying to emulate her wedding day glam, we love ourselves a glimpse into Meghan’s beauty regimen. And now it seems the men are taking inspiration from the royals. However, this time it’s Prince Harry’s look that they’re after.
According to the UK’s largest surgery provider, Wimpole Clinic, in the past month alone there has been a 25 per cent increase in beard transplant enquiries across England. A spike they believe coincides with Prince Harry being splashed all over the media during the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
Speaking to Mirror UK, Wimple Clinic’s CEO, Warren Vaheeswaran explained, “Prince Harry looked spectacular in recent coverage. His facial hair capped a really handsome look [and] it seems that [people] have taken notice.” Though it’s not the first time a celebrity has influenced procedure trends, with Margot Robbie being declared the “most requested face” amongst plastic surgeons in 2020, we haven’t heard much buzz around celebrity men. Particularly royal men.
How does a beard transplant work?
Like any hair transplant, this procedure takes hair follicles from the back of the heard and moves them into the required area. In this case, across the chin and around the side burns.
So, how much will Harry’s beard set you back?
According to Warren, each beard transplant sits at around $6,200. “Men feel it’s worth the money to look stylish in London,” he noted. Adding, “it’s an easy procedure and the masculine look is now very much in vogue again. Harry is a great role model for young men.”
However, it mightn’t be only Prince Harry’s influence. After long stints in lockdown and working from home, many office and workplaces have relaxed their rules on requiring staff to be clean shaven. Although for those who can’t grow facial hair naturally, a hair transplant offers an easy solution.
How can you promote hair growth without a procedure?
Whether it’s more volume at our roots, fuller brows, or in this case, extra facial hair, there are ways to promote hair growth without having to undergo a procedure. Or spend thousands of dollars. How? First off, Toppik Hairbuilding Fibres ($40 at Toppik) will conceal hair loss instantly. Using keratin proteins to create the appearance of fuller hair, this product will undetectably conceal hair loss and bulk out sparse areas. Paired with a hair growth supplement like the Viviscal Man Dietary Hair Growth Supplements ($69.95 at Viviscal), you’ll inhibit common thinning effects, reduce hair loss and visibly improve growth.
Did Prince Harry’s beard popularity surprise you?
I am not a fan of these two. I think they could do better in their roles.
I agree -they play the hard done by card just a little too often
I’m surprised some men can’t grow a beard? lots of bald men have them. $6,200 seems a bit much for “a easy procedure”
It sure is a lot of money!
Women are getting laser to remove hair from the face, and men are paying for it to be transplanted back… LOL
The irony
I’m not a fan of beards.
I don’t want my husband to have a beard…no thank you.
Who would have eber thought that?
Don’t love beards but it depends on the person. These two are not good role models either. I used to really respect Meghan but clearly her original cry for privacy was a lie.
I haven’t been following much of the news, is that what she said?
Or was it that she didn’t want the British media to follow her around so much?
Yes you are right depends who the person is as to whether it suits or not.
no me either
Not really interested in what Harry and Meghan do seems like they like being in the limelight instead of living private lives.
It didn’t enter my head that men would have a beard transplant, especially at that cost.
I know right, but I guess growing facial hair is a bit of a manly thing..
Very expensive indeed!
Did Prince Harry’s beard popularity surprise you?
No, nothing is surprising me anymore, and that’s not necessarily a good thing.
You have some interesting points in this article. I never thought about any of these things unless I was offended by this. Thank you! wikipedia page creators

Ok, not clicking on it then.
I love my partner’s beard but I’m usually not a fan of them. I guess it depends on how well kept they are
True, is it a lot of maintenance for your husband?
I’m not a fan of beards in general, and Harry’s is certainly not one that would inspire me to give it a go.
It’s bad enough that we constantly have to hear about Megan Markle and now the focus has switched to Prince Harry. I don’t like either of them.
Beards have been rising in popularity for years – I wouldn’t credit this to Harry.
Oh my gosh, now I’ve heard everything!
I din’t know beard transplants were a thing
This feels a little odd to me – beard transplants? I’m amazed they exist.
Say what you like about them they do make a good looking couple
I think it is an improvement visually but not a fan of this pair -they need to get on with their life
I have never heard about this.
Is Harry’s beard not his then?
Maybe it’s in his book😆
No interest in Harry since he hooked up with Meghan.
Anyone else sick of seeing & hearing about these two? Can we not just have an article about people that we can relate to?
Nit every man suits a beard I do like a three day growth but not a full on beard
no I am not a beard fan
I had never heard of this before.
Harry has had something added to his hair on top as well i think -I would too if I was him and could afford it
