We love Pinterest. It helps us stay up to date with all the latest beauty trends and provides endless inspo for our vision boards. Now, Pinterest is ahead of the curve, compiling a list of 100 trends they predict that we’ll see in 2018.

The predicted trends are ideas that have garnered the attention of over 200 million people monthly, around the world and in a range of categories.

Pinterest is forecasting their beauty trends based on what their 48 million(!) beauty Pinners are searching for, as well as what they’re ‘saving’ to do in the future. Beauty has been booming on Pinterest, with a 75% increase in Pins year over year.
These are the beauty trends to look out for this year…
Hair extremes
Bob and lob hairstyles have been trending for quite some time, but according to Pinterest, people now want to take their hair to the extremes. Saves for ‘long hair’ and ‘pixie’ are on the rise.
Lush lashes
Lashes may be about to knock brows out of the spotlight. According to Pinterest, searches for ‘lashes’ are up 152%.
Oil
Oil cleansers have been gaining traction, but it seems 2018 might just be their year. Saves for ‘cleansing oil’ are up by over 500%!
Inclusive shade ranges
Searches for ‘complexion matching’ are up by 378%. This probably has a little something to do with the success of Rihanna’s inclusive Fenty Beauty foundation shade range.
Graphic nails
We love nail trends. Heading into 2018, geometric nails are the one to watch, with searches up by 83%.
Bright eyes
Look out for bright and neon eye makeup this year. Searches for ‘bright eyeshadow’ are up by 63%.
Facial rollers
Saves for ‘derma roller’ have been on the increase. With derma, jade, ice and quartz facial rollers to choose from, it’s no wonder they’re growing in popularity.
All-in-one kits
Saves for ‘makeup kit’ are up by 147%, so expect to see more curated, all-in-one kits around in 2018.
Lips tints
Prepare to see a lot of sheer and matte lip tints in the new year. Saves for ‘lip tint’ are up a whopping 414%.
Wet and wild hair
It seems slicked back, wet-looking hair and wild, wavy curls (think perms!) are in now. Searches for ‘slicked back’ and ‘wavy’ are up 166%.
