Every year since 1990, Pantone has nominated a Colour of the Year to forecast what designers and consumers will be wearing, buying, using and favouring for the next 12 months. Last month, the Colour of the Year for 2015 was revealed: Marsala.
Described as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red” that “enriches our mind, body and soul”, there’s been a little controversy over the deep, rich red shade, with some feeling not-so-enthusiastic about it.
We have to admit, while it’s not nearly as bright and happy as last year’s Radiant Orchid, we’re pretty chuffed we get to spend the year experimenting with these magnificent Marsala-hued beauty prods:
Lush confident liquid lipstick, Revlon Matte Lipstick, Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil, Garnier Color Sensation
What do you think of this year’s Pantone prediction?
