If your hair has had the good fortune of an Olaplex treatment, you’d understand the incredible results the hair care technology delivers when it comes to strengthening weak strands. Luckily for us, in 2014 the popular treatment (which was once only available via a hard to snag appointment in a fancy hair salon) was bottled up and sold for us to use at home. The only downside? At over $50 for a bottle, it quickly became a very expensive obsession.
Thankfully a few hair care brands caught onto the impressive work of bond-building technology and began releasing their own protein-rich products aimed at strengthening our hair from within the strand.
So, if you’re looking for an Olaplex-esque product that won’t break the bank, here are our top 4 dupes for the cult-favourite formula…
Revolution Hair Bond Plex 3 Bond Restore Treatment
As part of a multi-step routine, the Bond Restore Treatment works to target different layers of the hair fibre, helping to restore damage from deep within the strand. Formulated using powerful plant proteins, a coating of it prior to your shampoo will leave damaged hair looking soft, shiny and of course, strong.

Not sure which of the products would be best for my hair.
Thanks for the info
I’ve been working my way through a hair stash, but I’ve got Toni&Guy’s StrengthPlex on my want-to-try list after reading Bh member Skincare Junkie’s blog.

Great. I’m curious about the actual strength of the supporting evidence, which is what drift boss look for most in this kind of product.
I’ve had a couple of small samples of Olaplex, not enough to be able to see any real difference in my hair.
Ive really been wanting to try Olaplex I’ve heard a lot of good things & some bad. But those products are at a way better price point.
