Kate Middleton’s hair is always a show-stopper. And with multiple events to attend over the Platinum Jubilee weekend, there were many opportunities for it to shine.

Rather than sticking with her signature blow-dry, Kate used each outing to showcase a new hairstyle. And oh, did we love every minute.

From bouncy curls to elegant updos and even a royally rare ponytail, here are the mane moments you don’t want to miss.

Kate Middleton’s Platinum Jubilee Hair

Look #1: ’40s style updo

As the festivities kicked off with Trooping The Colour, Kate wowed in a navy and white ensemble. Her hair was pulled into a bountiful chignon that sat perfectly to the side under her hat. What we love most about this look, however, was the ’40s style roll that swept the front of her hair up past her ear and over the top of the style. It was the perfect way to show off the sapphire earrings once owned by Princess Diana.

Look #2: Woven updo

Taking place inside St Paul’s Cathedral, the National Service of Thanksgiving called for another hat and another updo. This time, the loosely woven style sat lower at the base of Kate’s neck, with the front of her hair sweeping down rather than up. Her highlights shone in the sun and complemented her monochromatic yellow outfit spectacularly.

Look #3: Voluminous ponytail

A trip to Wales with the family called for a practical ponytail. It’s not a look we get overly often from Kate but she always nails it. The key? A little extra lift and volume at the top.

Look #4 Glamorous curls

Kate saved her most bouncy curls for the Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting, seen here with Princess Charlotte as they watched the Queen do a skit with Paddington Bear. Iconic.

Look #5 Classic Kate

There were a lot of tender moments between the Duchess and Prince Louis at the Platinum Pageant. The mum-of-three kept her hair in a classic wave to conclude the weekend’s festivities, and despite all the styles her hair was subjected to during the busy schedule, it still looked shiny and glorious.

  1. She is a beautiful woman. I guess however, if you always have a stylist nearby it is very easy to change your look as often as you want. I’m lucky if I can manage a pony-tail 🙂
