- 1.B – Your passport, duh! Try getting through security, on the plane, and into another country without one (you won’t have much luck, so don’t really try).
- 2.C – The ancient city of Rome is Italy’s capital. If you picked Monaco, you might want to study a map – it’s not even in Italy!
- 3.A – Mandarin. Don’t try learn Chinese if heading to China, it’s doesn’t exist. And if you’re learning Mongolian, maybe you should head to Mongolia.
- 4.C – Hungary. Though all countries have the same colours (red, green, and white) in their flags, the Italian flag has vertical stripes and the colours in the order of green, white, red; and the Bulgarian flag has horizontal stripes in the order of white, green, red. Confusing, we know!
- 5.B – Swiss Francs. Switzerland is one of the only European countries still using the Franc instead of the Euro.
- 6.A – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Although the Vatican City is a pretty religious city, you won’t find a giant statue of Jesus there. In 2010, the world’s tallest statue of Jesus Christ was unveiled in Poland, but you won’t find it on the top of a mountain.
- 7.B – An ideo locator. While many people just refer to it as the ‘you are here’ arrow, its technical name is ideo locator.
- 8.C – Peru. The ancient Incan ruins of Machu Picchu can be found northwest of Cusco in Peru. You’d find Mayan ruins in Mexico, and you couldn’t exactly hike to the ancient ruins of Japan – they’re underwater!
- 9. C – America. Sure, the names sound pretty Greek, but these capital cities can all be found in the United States of America. Olympia is the capital city of Washington, Helena is the capital city of Montana, and Augusta is the capital city of Georgia.
- 10.A – Khop khun kha. To say thank you in Thai (as a woman), you say Khop khun kha.
