A new season calls for a hot new hair look. But what to pick? A daringly different colour? A bold new cut?
Considering all your options and looking at countless celebrity pictures for inspiration can make it all seem like hard work, turning your excitement into exhaustion before you’ve even begun! So ditch the drastic and simply incorporate some brand new hairdos into your daily routine. It’s the perfect way to update your look for the new season – without having to commit to a whole new you.
Here, we show you how to achieve some super sexy sunny day styles…
Bouffant braid
1.) Spritz some Redken 5th Avenue NYC Urban Experiment Wool Shake 08 through dry hair. Brush out with a soft boar bristle brush for added texture and volume.
2.) Pull aside a section at the very front of your hairline and pin out of the way.
3.) Backcomb the top section of your hair for extra root lift, before gently smoothing it back (taking care not to flatten the added height you’ve achieved) and sweeping your hair into a low side ponytail. Secure with an elastic band.
4.) Braid or fish plait your hair (click here for a step-by-step guide to the perfect fish plait) and secure the end of your braid/plait with an elastic band.
5.) Use your fingers to gently loosen and tease your plait to achieve a soft, ruffled texture.
6.) Take the front section of hair you’d previously kept aside and smooth it towards your plait, using bobby pins or hairspray to keep it in place.
7.) Finish with an overall spritz of Redken 5th Avenue NYC Quick Dry 18 for added shine and hold.
