Hot hair remedy

Do you suffer from lacklustre and limp locks at the slightest hint of humidity? Sometimes the thought of heading outside in the blistering heat is enough to make straight locks kink and frizz on the spot.

Slick and sexy:

“This look is great for when you don’t have time to freshly wash your hair. It’s a look that hit headlines when Megan Fox slicked her hair back for her red carpet appearance at the MTV Awards.” – Paloma Rose Garcia, Oscar Oscar Hair Stylist.

Step 1: A good tip for recreating this look at home is to begin by brushing your hair back away from your face and securing in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.

Step 2: Apply a good amount of gel, such as Aveda Flax Seed Aloe Strong Hold Sculpting Gel, from your forehead to the back of your crown, stopping at your ponytail.

Step 3: Using a fine-tooth comb gently comb your hair from your forehead back across your crown and along the sides to smooth out any bumps.

Step 4: Next, use your curling tongs on large, random sections of hair to loosely curl your ponytail.

Step 5: Once the styling gel has completely dried you can then undo the ponytail and gently brush out the mid-lengths and ends of your hair to create soft waves.

Step 6: Finish with a strong hold hairspray to keep your hair in place all night!
