If you’re anything like me, you spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to control the baby hairs that frame your face. Frizzy, fluffy and just generally annoying, I wonder if they’ll ever grow out!
So, what’s the solution to dealing with baby fluff? French fashion house, Givenchy, put their models’ baby hairs on show at Paris Fashion Week with a seriously quirky style, which style.com has dubbed ‘baby burns’.
That’s right, the model’s foreheads were slicked with crafted baby hairs that were twisted and twirled into little curls and faux fringes. According to the hair director for Givenchy, Eugene Souleman, it was supposed to look like they’d just taken a dip.
“The hair is meant to look like you put your hair into a ponytail and went swimming, and when you came out of the water, you’d have little wisps of hair stuck to your face,” he explained.
But the look didn’t stop at the runway – Katy Perry and FKA Twigs were also spotted in the front row at the Givenchy show with slicked-out strands on their foreheads.
To be honest, we’d probably only (unintentionally) rock this trend after a hard-core gym sesh or dip at the beach. Sorry, Katy…
Do you think this trend will catch on? Will you be embracing the ‘baby burns’ trend?
Wherever this trend has been hiding. Please stay there.
Some odd trends these days certainly not my cup of tea, not surprised Celebrities would follow this trend just a bit toned down.
I have a fringe, so I don’t need to worry about these!
What? Well thought baby hair is just that, new hair growth. But this stuff? no
That’s a no from me! Each to their own though.
