Five hot ways to hair accessorise

Sick of sporting the same old hairstyle every time you step out the door? If you’re bored with your run-of-the-mill flowing mane and have done your regular up-do to death, then it’s time to up the ante on the hair stakes! And luckily, where we come from that doesn’t mean having to set aside an extra hour of prep time (we know you’re busy ladies!). All you need is a selection of hot hair accessories and you can transform your everyday ‘do into a super original style.

But don’t just take our word for it. Check out how the A-listers are accessorising and follow our how-to guide to get the look yourself…

Soft and simple with SJP

SJP transforms what would be ordinary tumbling tresses into something a bit special with the simple addition of a strategically placed standout hair clip.

Hair accessories to have on hand:

Lady Jayne Instyle Decorated Clip
Dotti Silver Mini Sequin Scarf
Sportsgirl Pretty Camellia

Get the look:

1.) Spritz your damp hair with a thermal protectant and blow-dry straight, creating a smooth side parting as you go.

2.) Working on one section of hair at a time, use a curling tong or straightening iron (on maximum heat) to create curls.

3.) Once done, gently brush through your curls to loosen them into soft waves, then mist all over with a shine spray.

4.) Sweep one side of your hair behind your ear, and secure in place with a bobby pin.

5.) To finish, tie a shimmery headscarf into a puffy bow (a la SJP) and some more bobby pins to secure it in place behind your ear.

Hot tip: Not feeling the puffy bow? Create a more toned-down version of this look by replacing the bow with a jewelled hair pin or flower clip.
