Oh come now, wipe those tears away. Don’t you know I wouldn’t leave you? Not really. It’s true, I am off for a little while. But only for a little while. You won’t even know I’m gone, I swear.
So where am I going? I’m off to Londontown again. But this time, I’m doing it proper – for three whole months in fact. I plan to see all of the sights, delve into the beauty offerings and give that four-level Topshop a good seeing to.
But I won’t be gone, gone. You’ll still see content coming through with my mug attached to it, oh yes sir! I’ll be your unofficial ‘beautyheaven London correspondent’ while I’m away, and that means that you guys will be the recipients of all kinds of London trend reports, sneak peaks and Brit IT girl gossip. I canny wait!
But for now (because I’m just so rubbish at goodbyes) – I’m going to leave you with three life lessons to keep you warm while I’m away.
LIV’S LIFE LESSON #1: Wash your mop.
If in doubt about washing your hair, just wash it. You’ll be glad you did because the moment you decide not to, it automatically gets 20 per cent greasier. You know it’s true.
LIV’S LIFE LESSON #2: If in doubt, don’t.
If in doubt don’t drink it. If you have to ask three people “is this milk okay?” Then that’s too many. Throw it out. Trust me, your tummy will thank you. Same goes with food, if it doesn’t smell quite right – then odds are it won’t taste quite right.. So bin it, like now.
LIV’S LIFE LESSON #3: Treat yourself.
Okay so I don’t mean that you should blow your whole week’s rent on that new pair of stilettos, nor should you tear into an entire cake when your sweet tooth strikes. But hey, if you fancy a biscuit with your tea, or a proper coffee from a café in the morning – do it. You’ll feel all the better for it, and the rest of the day will seem less of a chore, I promise.
(Aside from the occasional blog, I’ll also be fulfilling my lifelong dream to become a British Guard. Left, right, left right left.)
