“This candle has very quickly become my happy place. Add a cup of tea and a warm blanket into the mix, and I really couldn’t ask for a better night in. The scent is beautiful – a strong blend that reminds me of going for a luxurious facial or massage (note: if you’re more of a subtle scent fan, this one may not be for you). And the aroma is powerful, too – I can easily catch a waft of the candle when I’m two rooms away. I’ve been burning this candle almost everyday for about a month (for about an hour at a time), and there’s barely a dent in it. It looks like it’ll be around for a while – not that I’m complaining.”

“I feel as though I’ve been caught in the middle of lip colour trends of late. Trying to decide whether I should opt for an on-trend sheer wash of colour, or ‘stick it to the men’ with a much-loved punchy shot of pigmented colour. Luckily, the new Color Whisper lippies from Maybelline New York mean I don’t have to. They brush on and leave a delightfully lightweight pop of colour that deepens with every swipe. You really can build your own intensity and I just love having the power to control the depth of my lip colour! The lipstick felt more like a balm in consistency, coating my lips with a hydrating hit of colour that never once made my lips feel dry or uncomfortable. The colour had awesome staying power, lasting a good three-to-four hours without having to touch-up. Even when I did touch-up, I only did it because I’m a bit of a perfectionist with my lip hue – you can’t blame me! I am more than impressed with Maybelline’s latest lip offerings – and I have no doubt that you will be too!”

“Packing light is not a term I’m familiar with – I bring everything I could ever need and more when travelling. This excess baggage I’m so fond of always includes my everyday hair dryer, which rather selfishly takes up a decent amount of space in my bag. The VS Sassoon Go Travel Dryer is the perfect answer to obtaining amazing hair abroad, without sacrificing on suitcase space. The handle folds into the body of the dryer for an extra snug fit, it barely weighs a thing, and its concentrator nozzle isn’t bulky. And then there’s the power. Oh, yes – it has a lot of that. Not quite as much as my at-home hairdryer – I like a lot of grunt – but more than enough to dry my hair quickly and easily. I’m planning on repaying its handy qualities with a round-the-world trip one day. I’ll have amazing hair, and it’ll enjoy the sights, I’m sure.”

“This body wash fortuitously landed on my desk as I was coming to the end of another, so having never tried it, I thought I’d give it a go. Given that it’s a natural product that’s free from all the nasties I didn’t expect it to have a good lather, so was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a really rich, creamy lather on application. It has a lavender scent that, although not to my personal liking (I’m just not a fan of lavender in general) my boyfriend said he liked, so it’s definitely not too overpowering to be considered ‘too feminine’.
A little goes a long way so it really is great value, and the pump function means that you get a measured amount and no product is unnecessarily wasted down the drain. My skin felt clean and moisturised after use, which is exactly what you’d want from your daily body wash!”
