Be ‘Hair-larious’ to beat cancer

Let’s face it, we all know someone who is affected by cancer. Scary, but true.

Which is why it’s so important that we do whatever we can to raise funds and awareness for cancer research, prevention, and support services. And if we can have fun while we do it, all the better.

The Cancer Council NSW is encouraging people of all ages, all over Australia, to get creative, go crazy and be as Hair-larious as possible with their hair, all in the fight against cancer.

Whether it’s going so far as to shave, colour, or perm your hair, or doing something as simple as wearing a crazy hairstyle or even just getting your hair trimmed, you can help by not only raising funds, but by also educating, supporting, and giving hope to those around you.

So go on, there’s no better time to go a little crazy with your hair. Just head to www.doyourthing.com.au/hair-thing to find out more and see how you can get involved.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done to your hair?

Rose Byrne

Don’t be put off if your side-fringe separates a bit. Just look at Rose’s ‘do. Perfection, right?

Beyonce

We think Blue Ivy needs a little brother or sister to play with, don’t you?

Samaire Armstrong

Add a bit of colour to your locks…

Helena Christensen

…or go a bit crazy with a few different colours!

Agyness Deyn

If you’re feeling really adventurous, opt for a super-short cut and a mohawk.

Alexa Chung

We love how Alexa’s fringe blends into her shaggy lob. She really can do no wrong with her hair.

Willow Smith

Add a few ribbons in your hair for a simple change.

#6: Rihanna

Goodness, another case of terrible regrowth, except this is even worse. Tsk, tsk, RiRi. And maybe you should think about laying off the faux bronzer – you look like you’re suffering from tan-o-rexia here.

Amy Adams

The colour, the curls, the length, the volume – this whole combination is hair perfection. We foresee this look being BIG come autumn.

Christina Aguilera

Purple eyeshadow can go very wrong, but we actually think Xtina hit the nail on the head with this violet and lilac look. Plus, we’re loving those full, fluttery lashes!
