The JUSTICE Professional Permanent Ammonia Free Colour is an at-home hair colour treatment that provides complete coverage of regrowth and greys. Using a blend of keratin, five essential oils and zero ammonia, this formulation delivers nourishment and hydration for the hair as well as a natural-looking and easy-to-apply colour touch up.

It was clear from the start that this hair colour treatment ticked many boxes for our Trial Team members. For those who experienced scalp irritation previously, this ammonia-free formula proved non-irritating upon first use. Several members revealed that prior to this trial the process of colouring their hair at home was daunting. However, the cost and convenience benefits had eventually outweighed their fear of making a mistake or ‘doing a bad job’. The instructions and formula were simple to follow and apply, leaving members pleased with the process and the end result. The final result? Grey roots were covered with a natural coat of colour and dry, lacklustre strands appeared soft, shiny and strong. 

Though some members did detect a scent, they were pleased to report it wasn’t over-powering or offensive as most at-home dyes often were. In particular, they were pleased to report that the scent did not linger in their bathrooms post-application. The consistency of the formula was described as being a “little runny” which made the product spreadable without creating a mess in the shower or sink.

As per JUSTICE Professional’s claims, Trial Team members found the product to cover 100 per cent of their greys. Though members were happy with their final result, they were eager to play around with other tones within the extensive shade range (up to 20 natural shades) to see if perhaps they could find an even better colour match.

The overarching thought of Trial Team participants: why hasn’t this product existed until now? The non-drying, extra-gentle and natural-finish formula left members feeling confident in their appearance and relieved they’d found an affordable solution to maintain the desired look of their hair. Even colour aside, members were also thrilled that they no longer had to sacrifice the overall health of their hair in order to lock down the colour. Infusing an even colour from the roots down, this nourishing formulation which left members hair soft and shiny had convinced all participants of the trial to incorporate the Permanent Ammonia Free Colour into their haircare routine moving forward.
