Fudge Clean Blonde Shampoo

“This stuff has some incredible brass eliminating power! I have white blonde hair and sometimes enjoy that little over toned look and this stuff does the trick. I find I don’t have to leave it on very long and it takes away the gold colours from me hair. My hair keeps its integrity and does look damaged or yuck. It stays shiny and strong whilst still doing what I need it to do.” – Georgia.RoeTrenerry, bh member

Provoke Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo

“After bleaching my hair, I was told that I needed to turn to purple shampoos to tone out the brassiness in my hair and with Asian hair, comes a lot of brass. I bought this purple shampoo hoping it would tone my hair, but it did so much more. It toned out the brass in my ends, it left my hair feeling clean and refreshed and it smelt amazing. The 3 hit wonder. I honestly haven’t gone back to my hair salon in months to get a retouch, so this is definitely doing its job and at a really good price.” – thetweecollective, bh member

TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo

“I’ve always been a fan of Tigi products, and Dumb Blonde continues to please! I didn’t think it would be possible for my hair to feel healthier after going blonde from natural dark brown, but this shampoo has done wonders to repair my hair. It has a lovely scent of lollies/bubblegum which lingers after washing your hair. Lathers really well, and a little goes along way.” – Kryszia, bh member

ELEVEN Australia Keep My Colour Blonde Shampoo

“My hair is strawberry blonde and is currently balayaged. I use this product about once a week on my hair and it leaves it smelling amazing and neutralises the brassiness. Unlike other purple shampoos or toners, it doesn’t leave your hands purple. If this does happen to you, I recommend using a normal shampoo to wash your hands while in the shower and it will come right off.” – Shiana66, bh member

TONI&GUY Hair Care Purple Shampoo for Blonde Hair

“My go-to purple shampoo and conditioner was always Fudge. It does leave my hair very dry though, so I’ve been on the look-out for an alternative. I grabbed some of this, along with its companion conditioner when it was half-price at Woolies recently and I’m really glad I did! It lathers beautifully and does a great job of making my hair feel clean and silky.” – skitzkitty, bh member

John Frieda Violet Crush Intense Purple Shampoo for Blondes

“Omg this is the best purple shampoo ever! Bought this on sale at Woolworths a few weeks ago and have been more than impressed with the results. It’s so easy to use and doesn’t leave my hands looking purple. Once washed out my hair is dry my hair feels soft and the yellow has been completely knocked out.” – Jodes71, bh member

Blonde muk Toning Shampoo

“I would highly recommend this product, a lot of toning shampoos tend to dry out the hair and leave it still looking really dull. But this shampoo doesn’t do that, it bought back my blonde to it’s original looking tone. I use this in addition to the 2 minute mask that MUK have, and it works wonders. The best part for me is it’s not super expensive, but you still get the results you are after.” – xx.s.xx.36, bh member

KMS COLORVITALITY Blonde Shampoo

“Love this product, hair feels super soft & smells great. I have brown to blonde balayage hair and find this shampoo tones the brassy tones right down. I alternate between this and another moisturizing shampoo / conditioner as it is a little expensive, but I find definitely worth it.” – Suzi480, bh member

Goldwell Dualsenses Blondes & Highlights Shampoo

“I find this shampoo leaves my hair looking healthy and helps to reduce colour fading which is so important in dyed blonde hair which can look quite dull if not maintained properly. The Blondes & Highlights shampoo, combined with Goldwell Dualsenses conditioner and treatment spray, gives my hair that ‘just stepped from the salon’ vibrancy.” – onlyoni, bh member

  1. Have tried so many since this was published. Number 1 is by far Fanola No Yellow Vegan shampoo: does not dry hair out no matter how long you leave it in, toning power-insane, hair like silk. Fanola Mask from same line great too. My second one: always coming back to Fudge damage rewind purple duo, as it leaves hair in divine condition and toned. Great for maintaining. Fanola for an immediate drastic fix! All the rest, even Kerastase purple shampoo, not as potent or not turning my hair into silk like those mentioned before.

  2. I sort of mix mine up a bit. I use the Goldwell as my regular shampoo to maintain my colour and for vibrancy and shine and I use the Fudge Clean Blonde Damage Rewind as a deep toner if I want to lighten my blonde highlights.

  3. I’m not blonde, so I don’t have any use for these products. I have had highlights done in the past, and they looked really good, but I couldn’t be bothered with the upkeep.

  4. I’ve used the Fudge and Toni &Guy, I love them both. My hair is totally white/grey, but I have recently been using a blonde coloured fading shampoo. I still use purple shampoo or conditioner to tone the yellow tinges away.

  5. Aveda Blue Malva. Since using Aveda, my eyes never stung when putting contacts in after washing my hair. No more scabby spots on scalp either. Have been using Aveda since they first opened in Melbourne, never looked back.
