What is your hair type? Do you have a holy grail hair brush?!
I have very thick hair and I love a round brush.
I find brushes can be difficult to clean, especially if they have a hole or holes in them. I worry leaving water inside will lead to microorganism growth (although it is dark) but a quick google says just leaving them to air dry is enough.
I have an old M & P brush that I treasure.
Yes, when you get a really good hairbrush I love that it can last you years if you take good care of it
Totally -you get so used to it and so hard if you try something different to get your hair right
I barely ever use a brush, I prefer a comb.
I have thick frizzy wavy hair and the Lady Jayne TanglePro brush has been less damaging than a comb when my hair is wet.
It was morrocanoil one, in bristle and nylon mix. Better than mason pearson! Still have it, sooooo old, with MO still made it, need a new one! Best brush I’ve ever tried
Atm using christophe robin boar brush, it is excellent (for scalp and hair), but need another paddle brush to do finishing touches
Lady Jayne TanglePro® Wet Detangling Brush looks great and good value as well.
although I have thick hair I find if I use conditioner I dont get tangles
Ooo a scalp brush! Totally want one now
I have a Tangle Teezer but I don’t often brush my hair. I prefer to use a wide tooth comb when my hair is wet.
I prefer a comb because my hair is quite thick and it works better.Still have few brushes too
I’m in need of a new brush. The Tony and Guy one sounds like a good un
Lovely ones here to try, finding a brush perfect for everyday use helps so very much when getting ready.
Totally agree
Id love a Mason Pearson brush but they are very expensive.
They are so pricey! If I owned one which would never happen I would probably keep it in the box after every use – would be given maximum tlc!
I would love a Mason Pearson hair brush, one day…
The TanglePro one looks so nice! X
I have a Verb hair brush that I adore.
I have very thick and frizzy hair, would love to dry a heated straightening brush, have not tried one yet. I love my verb hairbrush given to me by my hairdresser.
I loved my old Lady Jayne TanglePRO, but the bristles eventually got bent & broken, so I had to bin it.
That happened to me too. But it lasted many many years.
Have a Lady Jayne detangling one.
I had chemotherapy earlier this year and my hair changed from dead straight to really curly, so I’m now trying to work out what brushes and products work best. It’s very unfamiliar terrain!
What a great article. A right hair brush is so undervalued
Loce a nice brush
