Want to create effortless waves and casually beautiful curls in minutes? Sounds like you’re in need of the best curling wand in Australia.
The only thing is that ‘the best’ is subjective. It’ll not only depend on what kind of curl you like but also the budget you’re looking to stick to.
Curling wands can vary greatly in both size and price, affecting the outcome of both. Plus, when we’re talking wands specifically, this doesn’t include anything with a clamp or hot air brush abilities; you’ll want our list of best curlers for that.
So whether you’re looking to invest or simply just need a cheap find to do the job on occasion, you’ve come to the right place to make your curling wand choice…

Do curling wands work better?
If you’ve only got the one sized wand barrel and you’re after beachy, tousled tresses, then a curling wand is the tool for the job. If you’re looking for more structured curls and don’t have a range of barrels to turn to, then maybe opting for curling tongs could be the way to go. But thankfully loads of curling wands come with multi-sized interchangeable barrels that help you create any look you’re after. So, yep, we think curling wands work pretty great!

Do you use a curling wand? Have you tried any of the above?
I dont use these type of hair styling tools very often but the muk iron is awesome.
Not that I use curling wands but they are very fiddly for those of us with limited dexterity.
Haha! I find it tricky too, Lucy, yet I’m dextrous enough to do a 5-strand plait! Heat styling requires a different kind of dexterity – one I lack.
Haha M8! I leave the plaits to my hubby. He gave me a gorgeous cut the other day so my loose curls are proudly on display!
That’s a great saving to have a hubby who can cut hair successfully. I bet your hair is beautiful.
Not too much need for a curling wand as I have natural loose curls.
Lucky girl
It’s amazing how the angle I hold the curler, the different type of curl it creates. Love this article, so Aussie focussed and will pass the link onto my daughter
No, but I have a waver, it’s great for those days when my hair has straight bits sticking out among the waves.
I love the results of a curling wand but do not use one regularly.
I have the VS Sassoon curler and straightener. Very handy and fun to use. I curl my hair and my daughter straightens hers.
Wish I was better at doing my own hair.
I have never used as I don’t like the idea of drying my hair with extra heat
I’ve got the previous model muk & it’s great!
I’ve used the Remington curling wand which is pretty good but I prefer using my straightener for curling my hair
I would love to be able to use these well, but no matter how many tutorials I watch, I can’t seem to curl my hair nicely
These sticks always make me giggle xD
I have always struggled to get curling wands to work for me – they don’t even create curls in my hair. I have no trouble with a straightener even though I don’t like to use it as it dries my hair. Maybe I need to do a few tutorials.
The price for me would also need a stylist at the ready. I am hopeless with this kind of item.
some great looking wands for all budgets
I won a muk curling wand and gave it to my daughter-in-law because my hair is short and I don’t want curls.
That was kind of you Onyoni.
I have short fine hair and curls are not for me
I have one, but I use it only occasionally.
I always have trouble using them and don’t like the heat damage either but I would like some wave and volume to my fine hair. Have a straightner but don’t know how to use it for curls.
All this love for the Muk curler in the comments – got me intrigued!
I do love the look of these curls but I don’t do my hair often enough to warrant buying a curling wand
I had the Babyliss pro curler which I gave to my sister. Now I have the MUK 3 in one curler .
Both are great products.
Hadnt tried any of these so this information helps
In love with the hair colour in the main imagine 😍
Your article is very good, I have read many articles but I am really impressed with your article. Thank you, I will look into this article. To know about me, try talking to me: wheel spinner
I have never quite got the knack of using curling irons effectively.
Love my curling wand and cool to see my review in this article 🙂
Love her hair colour in that photo.
Lots to choose from. Nice to see a range of prices.
I have a lot of hair so it takes ages to curl, so i save it for special occassions
Some fabulous Curling Wands I do have two good quality brands of Curling Wands hope to use them a chance bit more, as I let my Hair grows back again.
Some like to curl, others to straighten!
Curls just fall straight out of my hair 🙁
I still use hot rollers when I need curls, its vintage but it just keeps going. On the down side they are uncomfortable and you have to leave them in for a while.
I’ve got too many styling tools that I don’t use but I do want to try a mermaid wave tool
I do use a curling wand and a fantastic list, very helpful thanks bh!

I find it so hard to use stying tools on my own hair, I’m good at doing other people’s hair though!
Now that my hair is shorter, I should have a play with a curling iron
I find it so hard to curl my own hair. I recently bought a rotating curling wand as I thought it would be easier to use but I just need to practice. I’ve used it twice since I bought it in December
I don’t own curling wand. I use my hair straightener to curl my hair.
This reminds me to use my curling iron. Gosh I haven’t used it for ages.
My lucky daughter has naturally curly hair. she looked after it. No need for these devices for her. Mine is wavy.
Unless I have a perm my hair won’t hold a curl.
No need to spend $250 – I think a cheaper wand will do the trick just fine.
This will be useful if I decide to buy a curling wand.
I am so un- coordinated i cant curl with a tool. I rely on curling product and scrunching
I am so bad at curling my own hair, I wish I could get the hang of it.
Always rely on my curling wand and now I’m looking to replace my old one
I don’t use curling wands but i do have a VS Sassoon hair curler none of those mentioned
