6 Of The Best Anti-Frizz Shampoos For Fighting Flyaways And Humidity

Frizz! It’s just about the only downfall of having a head full of lustrous hair (other than when it gets caught in your lipgloss, thank you wind). But despite our best attempts at controlling pesky flyaways with nourishing hair masks, or smoothing hair oils, minimising frizz can often seem like a never-ending battle. And that’s why we recommend getting a handle on it from the very first step of your hair routine, with an anti-frizz shampoo.

Since frizzy hair is often a result of damaged or dry strands, it’s crucial to inject weak or fragile hair with strengthening and moisturising ingredients like ceramides, amino acids, shea butter, and coconut butter.

To ensure smooth locks and bouncy curls, minus the flyaways, here are the best anti-frizz shampoos for manageable hair (even on humid days).

L’Oréal Paris Elvive Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo

With silk proteins and argan oil, the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo protects hair from humidity, moisturises dry strands, and most importantly, leaves hair sleek, shiny and manageable.

“This shampoo makes hair feel clean, look shiny and bouncy. My frizz is reduced. This is a great shampoo and I would recommend it.” – IKnowBeauty

  1. Great list, would love to try loreal, kerastase or redken. Right now in need for anti frizz lol, rainign often and so humid in Sydney! (Using up last sprays of Kerasilk smoothing spray)

  2. I’ve tried one anti-frizz shampoo & I finally used the last of it this morning. It didn’t keep my oily hair clean for long. I prefer to use a deep cleansing shampoo & put up with a little bit of frizz on day one.

  3. I have frizzy hair and unfortunately almost all the smoothing frizz products have silicones, which I don’t like to use on my hair. Even when I did it was still a bit frizzy. I will have to give these ones a miss I’m afraid
