ICYMI: Amal Clooney is one heck of a lady. And not to diminish any of her very real life achievements, but we remain *really* obsessed with her hair. Yep, we sound vapid. But have you seen those luscious locks? Even Rapunzel is left wondering how she can get her strands to look so stunning.
Thankfully Dimitris Giannetos (AKA hair guru of many a celeb) has followed the stunning star to Venice to ensure her tresses (and makeup) are absolutely perfect. And we have to say, he’s done a bang up job. And thankfully he’s here to give us exactly what we need, and what we need to know is exactly what products he used in her hair.
Amal Clooney Venice Film Festival Hair
Stepping out on the red carpets comes part and parcel when your hubby is one of the top-rated film stars, even if you’re not a film star yourself.
Each year we look forward to the Venice Film Festival for a few reasons, one, it’s incredible and two, Amal Clooney is known to step out looking immaculate. And this year was absolutely no different. But enough about her gorgeous glam, and our obsession with it we bet you’re wondering what is that hair-perfecting duo?
Amal Clooney Hairspray
When it comes to research (read: scrolling socials) we take our work very seriously. That’s how we came across this sneaky pic, eight deep in a carousel. Yep, committed. It’s how we realised that Amal’s strands are thanks to two very powerful hairsprays —and of course a wonder shampoo/conditioner duo (thanks to Moroccanoil’s Hydrating range $83 at Oz Hair and Beauty). But when it comes to the hair-setting duo, we’ve got good news and bad; we’ll start with the good though.
Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray in Extra Strong
From $45.50 at Oz Hair and Beauty
Okay, so good news, this seriously strong holding hairspray is totally easy to get your mitts on. With its frizz-fighting, argan oil-enriched formula, you’ll not only get body and (major) hold, but luscious lightweight sheen too, evidenced by Amal’s enviable tresses.
Garnier Hairspray
Now onto the rather sad news, the exact spray (Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Hairspray) that Dimitris used to give the extra layer of holding perfection isn’t available in Australia (say it ain’t so), but don’t worry because we’ve gone and found the next best Garnier thing! The strand-smoothing, heat-protecting Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Perfector Spray ($10.99 at Chemist Warehouse) will also do the trick!
