Winter is edging closer and closer now, so in preparation, we’re planning out our warm and cosy fragrances for the season. If you’re stuck on how to switch your scents, the easiest solution is to just amp up the woody fragrance notes.
The woody fragrance family oozes warmth, earthiness and smokiness – so is perfect for the cooler weather. You’re going to want to look for lots of cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, leather, oakmoss, amber and oud.
But be wary – woody notes are the most versatile and compatible notes in the fragrance world which means nearly every scent under the sun has a woody base. So when you’re trying to identify good woody winter perfumes, make sure it’s heavy on the woody notes, not just using a hint to ground the scent.
bh tip: if you’re looking for a more sensual winter fragrance, woody orientals are the way to go. They’re warm, sexy and spicy.
Try one of the warm and woody scents below this winter and thank us later, beauties!

What is your favourite winter scent? Do you like woody fragrances?
I like woody ones if they are mixed with gourmand notes and cosy ambery sweeter notes too.
