Everyone’s teenage years are awkward. And of all the hormonal horror that happens to you as a teenager, bad body odour has to be the worst. Obviously, good hygiene and deodorant are of the utmost importance, but if my high shool memories serve me correctly, we also need to discuss how to use fragrance properly. Check out our fragrance tips for teens below…

#1: Body spray doesn’t cancel out body odour
I remember heading into class after PE and being choked by the amount of body spray and BO crammed into one room. So if there is only one lesson that teenagers can learn about fragrance, it has to be that you can’t beat body odour with a fragrance. We all get it, no one wants to stank up the classroom after cross country. But it doesn’t work that way. Body sprays come before you smell, not after. A wet-wipe and reapply of roll-on is the way to go in the changerooms.
beautyheaven loves Garnier’s Cool Invisi Deodorant and Rexona Teens Beauty Roll On.
#2: Don’t overdo it
Who else was doused from head to toe in Impulse body spray as a teenager? Because more was always better, right? Oh no. No, no, no. In your teenage years you’re self conscious but trust me, you don’t need that much. By all means use a body spray (beautyheaven loves the So…? Eternal Body Fragrance and Zoella Sweet Inspirations Fragranced Body Mist) but just remember: moderation is key.
#3: You don’t have to spend big
When it comes to a new perfume, chances are, you’re pulling together some pocket money, spending a bit of your Macca’s paycheck or having your parents shout you. So even if the coolest girl in school is talking up some trendy, luxe scent, you don’t have to be out of pocket. There are plenty of affordable fragrances around that smell great and will last you a while:
Good options for gals
1. Chi Chi Peach & Mango Eau De Parfum ($19.95)
2. Innoxa Gingham EDT ($30)
Good options for guys
1. Natio for Men Fresh EDT ($19.95)
2. The Body Shop Arber Eau De Toilette ($33)

My first perfume was exclamation and then I went onto So? Sometimes I will buy these since you never forget the first perfume you buy.
Isn’t this the truth.
As a teenager i would literally bathe in impulse strawberry fields.
I wear high end perfumes everyday however i have always been drawn to sweeter fragrances so will buy a cheeky celeb inspired perfume or Prada Candy to smell sugary. I think that’s due to my love of smelling like a strawberry as a 15 year old.
