Spray paint fragrances. Anti-ageing aromas. Yep, hold on to your atomisers people, we’re headed to the weird and wonderful world of peculiar perfumes.
Don’t be alarmed – the girl in the picture has not been stabbed to death with a blue biro – she’s actually just enjoying fragrance 21st century stylee.
What is 21st century etiquette in Fragranceland you ask? Well it seems there isn’t one; when it comes to scents, sensibilities are out the window.
Case in point one:the blue spray can fragrance
Wode Paint, the first fragrance from London fashion house Boudicca, launched during Paris Fashion Week. The actual creative vibe started some years earlier however, when V magazine propositioned designers who weren’t in the position to market their own fragrance and asked what they would do if they could.
The answer? Combine sight and smell it seems. Oh and turn women’s necks blue. That’s right, Wode Paint comes in a spray can and is blue. The blue does disappear after a few minutes so no need to worry about your white Witchery top (although Wode Scent is a blue-less version if you’re of a nervous disposition) but the empowering drama is unparalleled in the fragrance world.
Case in point two: a fragrance to rewind the years
Can a fragrance really knock ten years off the clock? According to the guys at Harvey Prince it can. Research has shown that the US patent-pending perfume, Ageless Fantasy, defies your skin’s natural age-revealing scent, so much so that men believed women who spritzed on Ageless Fantasy to be up to eight years younger. While sweet 16 isn’t quite as appealing as it sounds, there’s no doubt I’ll be leaning towards the elixir of youth in a year or two – hopefully it will grace Oz shores by then.
Wacky or wonderful? You decide…
As yet, Wode is only available in the UK, US, Hong Kong, Russia and some other glorious destinations – so for once you actually want holiday blues (get it?!).

I like my perfume but the first one I will give a miss. Would not mind seeing it in action though, a blue spray fragrance, different.
The image! eeeee
