Not sure how to make perfume last? We can help. Full disclosure: we can’t make your perfume last, like, full-blast for a whole 24 hours kind of last (though that would be the dream). We can, however, let you in on the secret of how to make perfume last longer than it normally does. And trust us, once you start, you’ll never go back. The solution? Fragrance layering. It’s the key to making perfume last longer, but it’s also risky business. Layering fragrances isn’t just spritzing all your favourites at once – if you do that they’ll compete with one another (and you’ll smell rank). The most straightforward way to nail fragrance layering is to go for notes that are already present in your go-to perfume or, even better, the same scent in a different form.
Does your favourite fragrance come in a body wash, body lotion, shampoo or conditioner? That’s what you want to layer with. Those layers will build up the impact of your scent so it lasts longer.
If you want a long-lasting, easy-to-layer perfume, try one of the fragrances below. Each has other versions of the same scent, so you can layer away beauties.
