The classic connotations of moss, grass and twigs aren’t exactly chic. Many would argue that gardening and glamour hardly go together, but any naysayers clearly haven’t discovered the delights of countryside-inspired colognes. A fresh yet sophisticated sector of the fragrance wheel, green scents are amazing all year round as they’re zesty enough for warmer weather and appropriately cosy for the cooler months. Options abound depending on your tastes, but the scents that sit within the green fragrance family all share vegetal vibes, allowing you to escape to the country in a single spritz. Think mossy green riverbeds, sprawling floral meadows and mysteriously magical forests – now you can enjoy the olfactory experiences of the great outdoors without any danger of grass rash.
Jo Malone London

L’Occitane

L’Occitane Herbae par L’Occitane Eau de Parfum
This splash tows the line between warm and zesty the same way its city muse, Provence, teeters on the French-Italian border. Inspired by wild grasses and thorny flowers, the scent is fresh (bergamot), floral (wild rose) and full (cashmeran) with zero frills – just wild, wonderful nature.
Tory Burch

Aptly named, Verte is the French translation of green, and this verdant scent is green through and through. Tory Burch’s take is pure garden party, conjuring imagery of clinking mimosas on a luxurious lawn. With notes of mandarin orange and jasmine, it’s crisp, clean and utterly captivating.
Maison Margiela

Maison Margiela Fantasies: Soul of the Forest Eau de Parfum ($220, mecca.com.au)
An edgier, more sophisticated style of green, Maison Margiela’s lush, leafy drop is the fragrance equivalent of exploring an enchanted forest. Beneath the moody moss and warm woods, you’ll find hints of blackcurrant, maple sap and peppery pimento ready to round out your tantalising tree-lined adventure.
Hermes

Hermes Un Jardin sur le Toit Eau de Toilette ($180, myer.com.au)
Imagine yourself strolling through a sun-drenched secret garden and you’ll have a good idea of just how good this Hermes scent smells. It’s the eau interpretation of freshly cut grass, steadied by the earthiness of basil and rosemary, and sweetened with a juicy blend of apple and pear.
Gorgeous countryside inspired scents. I would love to try Tory Burch, I have not tried this brand of fragrance before.
I haven’t tried any of these but they do sound nice.
